  1. do they look pretty decent?
  2. how do I post pictures?
  3. Alrighty, I work the late shift till tonight, but I've got work off tomorrow, so I'll post pictures then. There was no coolant in the cylinders. But the gasket that was on was very thin and flimsy. Im ordering a new cometic gasket set today. And im just running the stock head.
  4. I pulled the head, before I read your post hercalmighty, but 3 of my studs came with my bolts. I'm gonna go get a good set of cometic gaskets and 3 new studs from the shop tomorrow. I just put new plugs in 2 hours ago. Pistons and cylinders look good, and the rings are still expanding. When the top end was done, the cylinders were bored and honed, by a professional, with new pistons and rings and gaskets. I think it was my headgasket.
  5. Is it a possibility that one of my bolts came un torqued?
  6. I have 29 PSI, of compression in cylinder A, and 30, in B. I've been running a 32:1 with Lucas Oil Semi Synthetic. I tested it with two different testers. I also pulled my reeds, no issues there. Should I pull my cylinders and check them out? Or order a flywheel puller, and go down that road?
  7. Okay, and what about it trying to start every 4th kick?
  8. okay, whereabouts should I be running?
  9. also, every 4th kick it like sputters like its starting, but it wont turn over.
  10. I was riding along, and all of a sudden my shee dies. Top end has maybe 10 hours on it. Cleaned the carbs about 3 times, removed tors, have spark, could it be compression? Where could I get a compression tester? and if the new topend was needed, wouldnt it be just rings and gaskets? thanks guys.
  11. Okay, I pulled the reeds, they look fine. But I pushed the kick down to look at the piston, and a bunch if brown liquid shot out. I've sat here for 3 minutes and its still shooting it out of the intake.
  12. I've checked compression, and looked at the spec in the manual. It's up to par, and I am going out today after work to pull the carbs and take a look at my reeds.
  13. no, but it ran fine in the snow the other 2 times I rode. I took the TORS off, and it still wont start up. Why would it be running just fine then shut off like someone flicked the kill switch?
  14. Sweet. Thanks you guys for the help. I'm back from vacation tomorrow and I'll tell you if it worked.
  15. Alrighty, and I unplug it at the front of the tank?
  16. And it's just a cable I unplug? And then clip the wires to the carb and tape them?
  17. Where do I unplug it infront of the tank?
  18. Oh, I see. Alrighty. So just use my manual and clean them out real good? And clip the wires to them?
  19. Alrighty. I know my compression is good, and I held my plug against my head and kicked it and I had spark. Does the knobs ontop the tors, correlate with ignition?
  20. About mid top-end, but it died so suddenly it was like someone flicked the kill switch. I have carb spacers, aftermarket reeds, and Toomey racing needles in the carbs. That everything in the intake. And twin k&n's.
  21. @finch, what?
  22. Alright, I'll do that. Thanks much hoppedupandcutdown, and Burke.
  23. I think it's in the carb. I've ridden two stroke motorcycles, with only 1 cylinder, carb, pipe, and not have to deal with timing and everything. Not sure what to do. Any suggestions?
  24. It didn't seize, and it won't start. The kick goes down, and I've got it to run for 3-4 seconds and it dies. I've played with the knobs on top the carbs, and that's just kinda helped with starting. In really at a loss.
