  1. Hi everyone, I recently moved from CA back to the Charlotte area. I had bought a 2005 Banshee while I was out there to ride the desert that was my backyard. I do not have much time to ride right now and would rather have the money to put back into our house. In saying that, I do not have to sell. The bike has a +1 rear axle and +1 front arms with stage 2+R Elka coilovers. It has been tuned to run the desert whoops at high speed. This can still be beneficial out here if tree roots or deep holes sneak up on you in the woods. The tires have about 50% life left in them. All of the plastics were cut prior to me buying it. It also has a twist throttle and FMF exhaust. All of the lights work perfectly. If you have anymore questions feel to PM me or email at [email protected] or you can text me 910 581 2625. I am asking $3000. Thank you. Price: $3000 Location: Charlotte, NC
  2. Yea. well I found a small crack in the choke tube. Put in a new piece of tubing and what do ya know, it runs. Seems like it winds out much quicker now. all the way to the limiter. i dont really remember it doing that before. This is still with the 280's in. The bottom has a long drawn out hesitation if its under a load. airscrew's fix this?
  3. it ran ok. Not great but ok. I was trying to get the little bugs out of it in the bottom. Today I am more than likely going to put the org stuff back in and just ride it that way.
  4. Yea i know the comp is bad. Still ran ok in the top. It wasn't blistering fast but it ran with most stuff. It wasn't doing this before the jets were messed with. I couldn't see it being the caps. Hopefully I hear back from my buddy today.
  5. I don't run them. I just clean the filter after every ride. Just went and messed with the air screws to try and get the off idle right. Still won't run off the choke at all. Looks like I'm waiting until tomorrow for the local banshee guru.
  6. Clean air filter, slides in correct carb. sync'd up. It almost gasps if its at idle, when it runs, and you stab the throttle. Air screws out to far? i'm pretty sure they are at 1.5-2 turns
  7. Hey guys, I am going to beat the jetting question to death again in another thread. Nothing I have come up with on here has helped much. Here is what is going on. Bike: FMF Fatty pipes Vforce 3 reeds 105 psi in the cylinders(yes it's low) K&N filter with stock air box vented Conditions: Elevation: 2700ft Temp:45-55 right now Dry air too I thought the bike was loading up on the bottom end. It had a bad bog if you gassed it hard. So we took out the main to see what is was, a 260. We then put in a 250 and lowered the needle and picked up the idle. This made the bike run like crap. It would hesitate bad and have no power. Took the tops back off and raised the needle two clips. This cleaned up a lot of the part throttle hesitation. So we thought it needed more fuel all around. Put in some 280's and now you are lucky to get it started without the choke on. Has the same huge bog on the bottom. The top screams though. I need some help here. I thought a 280 on a basically stock bike was way to much up here at our elevation. I guess the 260's are going to go back in and just be happy with that. Get the motor rebuilt too. New plugs were also put in. Ran it wide open on the 280's down the road and the only carbon on the plug was on the ground electrode. Help me out here fellas.
  8. Hey man, I got a buddy that has a mild ported stock cylinder bike. He doesn't run aftermarket reeds. His compression is right there with yours. I think it's about 160. He has a +4 timing on pump gas. We ride anywhere from 2600-3200ft. He runs a 320 main and that thing gasses it hard. milk chocolate plugs. I think you are at a good starting point with a 300.
  9. Hey man, First post here on HQ. I just got back from riding actually. I was out at the Sunfair Dry Lake. Hell I'm down to go out to Ocotillo for a day and ride. I can probably talk my buddy into to coming as well. We are just up the hill from there so it's not bad.
