  1. I searched oregon online and didnt find anything. Do you have a number? Im assuming a pretty sick porting job was a compliment to his shop I hope.
  2. Does anyone know of a good and reasonable banshee builder in the Las Vegas area. I think I'm looking for a 4mm stroker, and looking for someone that has a bunch of experience dealing with these.
  3. and yes most importantly i just want to have fun. this is just for my kid and I to have a blast with. not to take all serious. fun dune quad.
  4. i called a couple places today. seems like a 4 mil setup and porting everybody recomended. gonna spend around 1500 but will be a lot of fun. just to throw out there wild card was a pleasure to deal with. answered all questions took time. respected budget... was a pleasure. Didnt try to push me into more work.
  5. Im wondering what the biggest bang for the buck upgrades are for my banshee. I know theres 101 things you can do... but like we all know there are 101 things you can spend your money on and feel no real difference. Im asking on here because I know all of you have bought something and was like that was a waist and bought something else and went wow! How much does it cost to do a 4 mil kit? I just wanna avoid spending money on silly stuff and focus on things that will make me smile.
  6. so were getting to what i was looking for... so just boring it out I wont notice a difference. So Ive heard do a 4mil. how big of a difference is doing a +4? looks like doing a +4 is new crank rods pistons and heads. Do you upgrade carbs or stock carbs fine? ive also seen do porting makes a difference. any good shops out there to call that do good work and reasonable. I love shops that tell you what you need or dont need, not just about the money there making on sales.
  7. I think I have worn out rings. so I plan on boring out the cylinder and upgrading to a larger piston. Im wondering how much I can trick out with keeping it reliable. I see cheetah cub kit. I see big piston kits on ebay. want it faster but want to keep reliability. Basicaly just going dune riding. Im buying as cr500 and want my kids banshee to hang with it.
  8. Question. I get a heavy vibration out the engine mid rpm. so if i rev it as the rpm's drop I get a strong vibration. full throttle it hauls ass. low rpm bla

  11. if im pulling the carbs is there a much better needle to run. or is the stock needle perfect for a stock banshee ( fmf exhaust only upgrade)
  12. choke tube. from the one carb over to the other. rubber hose. its there. is there anything i should know to pull carbs. or same as on a dirtbike.
  13. this is my first banshee. i really have to get on it to get it moving. the guy i bought it from said it was normal and i just bought another banshee for my son and his runs great. i have to get the rps way up almost red line to get it moving. once its moving it screams. i have noticed i get a rough vibration as the rpms come down if im in nutral and rasise the rpms up and let them come down. put in new plugs wondered if maybe one was fouled. put both mix screws a turn and a half out like my sons. doesnt want to idle will die out. i have to give it a little gas to keep running. 1) have to redline rpm's to get moving\ once moving ok tons of top end 2) vibration from engine when rpm's come down from blip in nutral 3)wont idle, have to give it very little gas to keep running please help me, Im thinking maybe jetted wrong, he said he never changed anything... maybe low idle needle clogged... help
  14. i believe stock carbs. havent taken them off and gone threw yet. was looking for a direction before diging in. i also feel a strong vibration in nutral when i rev it and the rpms start to come down i feel a heavy shake in the motor.
  15. thank you for the replies. i tried to look at online service manuals but always found manuals saying 87-06 thanks for the input guys. i said to hell with it and bought a tricked out 96. Got it for 1800 and he had over 3k in mods. Great deal.
