  1. After hearing you guys, I thought might br mistaken. So I talked to him. And here are the facts. The sabre is stock stroke. Its just over 500cc, the bike and rider are over 500lbs, he has his share of time slips @6.0, at almost 100mph...And he said some of you guys know very well how fast he goes, because some of you have had his fuel tested claiming that he was cheating. But he is no cheater. The facts confirm the previous assumption. No Sabre that size, and weight should be competitive to a 10mm cub. The fastest sabre's in the world, cannot beat a good 4mm cub. And those sabre's are as much as 150lbs ligher than Mr. Seabolts. And if that is the best of the 10mm cubs in your area, it doesn't seem like you guys have banshees to the level they should be yet. Now I feel as though I have been a wet blanket, sorry about that; but facts are stubborn things...
  2. Crazykane, where are you from? You from tulsa too? Do you go to whitefield?
  3. Atoka is a great place to demonstrate what you have. It in an honest ASDA certified track to get ET, and mph at. A number from there is respected. If you have anything fast, you can show it there.
  4. Fact is that you have done well against whoever you raced against this year. Congrats, btw. But the reality of the Honda running the same times is an indication that things are not to potential for you and your bike. Nowhere else do the Sabres compete against 10mm banshees where the bikes are near their potential. And since the et, and mph are similar, wouldn't the power be too? And I think the details about the Sabre that we have been considering is more like my first post: Heavier rider, much smaller motor, and more to the point, less power. The fastest/biggest sabres in the world are just a hair over 100hp. On gas that would be low 90s... Carry on. Keep beating those guys your racing. But don't stop up on looking for more power, and a better ET. There must be more for you to find.
  5. They are taller than blaster pistons. If you have used them you should know how much.lol (.031" taller)
  6. Sounds like him. Stock stroke sabre, on gas, would we guess more than 90hp by any builder? Point being: gas sabres don't usually run with 10mm cubs, and a longer race, should really favor the cub. Sorry if you took it wrong. Of course, 300ft sand is more of a standard way to compare.
  7. It looks to me like the motor is not happy at peak. From 10-11k the curve little variation indicating that the motor is struggling. Timing and compression might the wrong way to go. I would guess the pipe is holding too much heat. A pipe change is what I would guess would yield the best results. And if I am right, you will have reliability issues with the setup you have now. The plugs porcelain, and the pistons might be frequently failing. LOL(oops, that's no laughing matter)... And as to the elevation/corrected power: the potential for higher dyno readings are better at elevation. Peak cylinder pressure is the most common limiting factor on a two-stroke's power, and it is lower at higher elevation. So you can abuse things further (ie. timing/compression etc.) And while the power is substantially less, (about 25% at 7500ft) your SAE/DIN/or STD correction is adding that 25% back in to simulate sea-level power-automatically. You can see the observed power by looking at the runs on the dyno "uncorrected". Try it. But you likely won't want to post that number.
  8. Tony Farrow ran a 6.2@107on a 421cub, in a stand up bike, the first year the cubs came out. Heavy bike/light dude...
  9. Throw 1st in the trash...(imho) lol
  10. And pick K@T...or another national/international quality builder...
  11. IS that the track where some 260lb dude has a gas Honda, and was running 6.0/100mph last year, or is that another track? Maybe heavy rider weight is a key, if traction is a problem...
  12. Actually no. But Detonation limits the rpm of your engine.lol The higher compression often will make peak power at a lower rpm, but that is all pipe-length/exhaust-hieght related. I have seen 20/1 alky honda's that had great high rpm power. And were great runners, utilizing a little higher exhaust(well over 200 degrees). But don't try leaning them down...lol
