  1. Ok I just put my banshee together I replaced shifting forks , all shifting linkages , new crank (stock ) fresh bore with new pistons , it has the same dg exhaust as it had when I tore it apart ( I know it's not the best ) I also have a k&n air filter . I installed a few mods to try : adjustable stator plate which I am running at + 5 and I installed a single carb kit . With a 34 mm keihnin carb ,I had the head shaved .030" & the flywheel is lightened .It runs ok doesn't want to idle and it cuts out on acceration . I'm not sure what jets are in the carb . Does any one know what I should be running ? At least close ? I live in Ohio
  2. Lol that's not what i was looking for
  3. I am trying to upload pictures but it says file too big to upload . Is there an easier way ?
  4. I had them off and didn't see anything inside either . I think there may have been a single letter inside . But nothing else
  5. I took my banshee engine apart to replace shifting forks . Which turned into all new shifting hardware , trans. Shaft , new crank etc. I want to put a new set of rings on my pistons while its apart . The problem is I can't tell what brand of pistons I have . I cleaned them up and don't see anything on them . There is a number in the top of the piston looks like 2.25 .. I orderd a set of Wisco ring but there way to thin to fit my ring land . The rings on my piston are twice as thick .. I have no idea how to determine what brand of rings to order . ? The numbers on top of the pistons mean anything ? My bore now is 66mm .
  6. I have to do all that ?? Or is that just optional stuff ? I had my head shaved isn't that the same as domes ?
  7. I have a 98 banshee . I tore it down to replace shifting forks . And during my repair i found my side to side rod clearance was excessive (.057") . So it's time to replace the crank . I was curious about a stroker crank but I'm not familiar with all the ins & outs . Do I just throw a stroker crank on and that's it. ? Do I need to do any cylinder work ? Do I have to worry about anything else ? I just shaved .030" off my head to increase my compression and bought a 2 into 1 intake with a 34 mm carb . And an adjustable stator plate . Any input would be great
  8. So I started googling dyno results for different exhaust systems . (Please don't hold me to this because I didn't perform these testes ) the exhaust that came on my banshee when I bought is a dg extreme system . And from what I see with dyno reports its a good low-mid range pipe . And is pretty comparable with other manufacturers . Why doesn't anyone care for the dg exhaust ? I just don't want to go blow that kinda cash for new exhaust and not tell a difference is all
  9. We usually ride in woods / hill climb but last summer we started drag racing . So I want to make it more competitive but don't want it a strictly drag bike.
  10. I have question about my carbs . 1st my shee isn't big bored or ported . I have a k&n air filter , dg exhaust ( I know dg isn't that great ) . It has the stock carbs on it now . But I recently bought a 2 into 1 kit with a single 34 mm carb . I haven't tried it yet . I was wondering if I could run dual 34 mm carbs ? How much engine work would I have to do if any ? I here the 2 into 1 kit adds bottom end but takes some of the top end away .
