  1. Unhook fuel line from tee and turn gas on. Run out? Slides in right carbs? Is the rubber hose between carbs hooked up? The choke hose that connects each carb to each other about 3 or 4 inches long.

Loosen the screw on bowl that bleeds down the fuel in bowl. Does gas run out? Find out of fuel is not getting to carbs or if carbs are not feeding. Go from there.

  2. Ditch it. No gains period.

Check out the thread about POST YOUR SET UP. Tons of pages on different peoples bikes with all info on jetting. Find somebodys set up close to yours and start there. Then plug chop and rejet as needed. Good luck

  3. Why hasnt anybody answered the question about the gasket thickness? Jk sorry..

If people "wont see the cub cylinders" how are they going to see this stock head?

None of this is going to work. Slow down and read more. Youve got the wrong idea with the spacer plate and need to read up on stroker cranks.

Those SS cylinders are basically only good if you need to stay under a certain size for a particular CC class etc. Not for sleeper builds. There are some pretty trick stock cylinders out there. There were some for sale here recently

  4. I thought somewhere I read a piston number the OP put up that led me to believe it was a 64mm.

You say it ran soooo great but its backing plugs out and melted down! Whats your overall set up? What pipes? WHAT CARBS AND JETS? Timing? Fuel? Compression before melt down?

Make absolute sure you or the builder do a leakdown test on this motor after rebuild. Man you have so many variables, this may not be a.good motor to learn how to rebuild on. At the minimum, send it out and get it checked over and have that builder send it back with the new parts you need to put it back together. It wont cost much to send a crank and top end to somebody!

  5. Is it a stock stroke cub ?

    Are those cub cylinders??

OP- You say the crank is stock stroke but the cases have been trenched for clearance??? More pics? And your spark plug wasnt "vibrating" loose. That is detonation and that is bad bad. Send that motor out to Redline, passion, fast or somebody to be rebuilt and tuned so it doesnt blow up again if youre not knowledgable on them.

  6. Brand new head gasket and torqued it to spec.

Just did compression check and the left side cylinder is slowly loosing pressure... Is this an indication the gasket is tost?

Losing compression??? How long does it run before puking water? Did you leave overflow empty? Try to burp any air out?
  7. Are you sure it's boiling and not compression pushing it out?

How long does it run before it starts pushing water? If its pretty quick then its head gasket. Did you use a new head gasket or o-rings if its a cool head? When you fill it up just fill the radiator and dont put anything in the overflow tank. You may also have to burp some air out of it. Im betting sprinklerman is right since it just started after rebuild. Probably head gasket and compression is pressurizing the radiator.
