  1. Got it running!! Completely swapped RS connector out with a 10 Yr old stock one from my old stator and bam!! Suck it RS!!
  2. Anybody in the St. Louis area help a bro out? Need to borrow a good flywheel.
  3. Oh my bad. It's a Ricky stator ( stator and rm stator flywheel). At this point I don't give a shit about ur shitty product I just want to figure out why I have incosistant spark. Yeah replaced ignition coil, with a non Ricky stator, and spliced in my old pickup that ohm'd good. Good spark just not consistent. Idk. Driving me nuking futz!
  4. Yeah stator is in right. I even spliced in a diff pickup and didn't do it. Has to be the flywheel!!
  5. My shee stil not having consistent spark. Only reson I can see after going through all my electric is the new stator and flywheel. Hmmmmm
  6. So clymets secondary way of testing is wrong. Secondary ohm was 4800, and primary pegged at 0. My stator homes all good but seems like I have to kick it a few times to build up enough signal for the cdi to send it to the ignition coil. Anyone ever had a stator that ohm'd good and gave an intermittent spark. From what "they" say is ur cdi works or doesn't. ?? Idk man
  7. Stator ohm's out good.
  8. No resistance on ignition coil secondary, infinite resistant on primary.. = intermittent spark???
  9. Lol. Nice! Well I'm gonna hit it hard tomorrow. I'll let u know.
  10. No the flywheel doesn't wobble but there is a minuet amount of free play when mounted on the crank before I tighten it down due to my key being so grooved. So in other words is if my cdi was bad it wouldn't produce any spark at all?
  11. Tors eliminated.
  12. Yep, I did. I checked it with an ohm meter, had resistance but was too lazy/ agrivated to reference to wht clymer book said
  13. Don't know if it matters, running a 4 mill. Compression is 140. And Definetly getting gas.
  14. Yep, got fuel. Lol. Gap set at .016. At this point I'm leaning toward a bad cdi. Problem started when my stator rattled loose and got damaged from the flywheel. So I replaced the stator, flywheel and ignition coil. Weird how easily the new flywheel comes off the crank. My woodruff key is worn some, but other than that., its sparks totally random.
  15. How crazy is this though. My on, off switch never worked before only the lights. Would run no matter where the switch was positioned
  16. Has an intermittent spark
  17. Had a rattle in old flywheel and was getting a backfire with it. Now with a new one I'm not even getting that. Wiring is a mess but has always ran. Fresh rebuild! Passed leak down.
  18. Replaced, stator, flywheel, adjusted pickup, replaced ignitin coil. I'm throwing in the towel
  19. So my flywheel has a tiny rattle when shaken. Off the bike of course. Bad flywheel? Anybody heard of this?
  20. No adjustable timing plate. The woodruff key has not been sheered. Al little worn but still good. I went over connections. It wants to start so bad and then pop, pow. ( backfire)
  21. I also put a new ignition coil in. Would that make it backfire if it was bad?
  22. Ok set my gap at .018". It sparks but won't start. Kinda wants too, but then it backfires. ???
  23. The pick up never got damaged. Thing just died. It was raining a bit when it happened.
  24. So I replaced the stator with a new one. I have an older clymer and it doesn't tell me what the gap is supposed to be. I've checked just about everything. Got resistance on stator, ignition coil, tors is removed. Still no spark. How would u even adjust the pick up.
  25. I didn't even check it. I just bought a new one. I don't have a resistance tester either. It was raining also. It just died and that was it. I've rebuilt several two strokes but not real savy with electrical. Carpenter by trade.
