  1. will do, thanks for the responses and info
  2. i did switch the main jets that were provided with the exhaust from fmf, believe they were 240's, don't know much about carbs. I may have the air/fuel screw out of whack too? When you say re jet do you mean change more than just the main pilot jet?
  3. I have a 2000 that is stock other than the exhaust, the problem is that it smokes more out of one silencer than the other. The pipe that does not smoke like the other also backfires. The plugs appear to be wet and are fouling i think. Am I in need of new rings for the pistons or should I get a top end kit with new pistons, rings, gaskets etc..I am new to two strokes and am kinda lost. Any help would be greatly appreciated..btw I use Klotz r 50 with premium gas..Thank you!
  4. thanks you very much
  5. i have a 2000 and it has a boost bottle, i have heard to take it off and go with a stock crossover, then do a plug chop. what is a plug chop and what are the benefits or why should it be done...stock cylinders and power reeds, dunno if that matters or not.....confused..thanks for any help
  6. Anyone that lives in or around cincinnati ever hear of some trails down off of Queen City ave? I have heard some several people that they are at the bottom of Queen city avenue right around where it meets Wyoming avenue. Once down there you make a left up a hill and there are some trails up there on land that someone purchased years ago to give locals a place to ride. I have heard them referred to as "Queen City Trails" but nothing comes up online. Also my good friend said that he rode these trails prolly around 15 years ago or so, dunno just don't want to make an unnecessary trip..thank you for any info!
  7. cool man, thanks alot.. amazing what just a few mods can do to these things. the new exhaust and reeds alone totally changed the powerband all over the place, especially the mid range..thanks again
  8. yep that's the one..will do, i just got registered to this site..it's a whole different experience than what i am used to..the raptors that i had were fast but felt top-heavy and not very nimble..i am getting used to it though,,love it..btw what's up with the painted front hubs and calipers? no worries just wondering
  9. thank you, i love the site and all the responses!
  10. yea, that's me..love the quad but it needed new pads all the way around and the bent rim has to go..just finally was able to register on this site, can I email you directly with any more questions?
  11. First off I am new to 2 strokes, just got a 99 banshee a month ago. It was bone stock minus a boost bottle, tors removed and the air box is gone. In it's place is a toomey air filter with an outerwears cover. Stock cylinders. Since then i have swapped the stock exhaust and replaced it with fmf fatty golds, powercore 2's..i also installed boyesen power reeds. I changed the main jet from 200 to 260. Air screw 2 turns out. I ride trails and live in Cincinnati, and have no idea what the elevation is. I haven't ridden it much but it starts on the 3rd kick, idles fine and smokes a little. My questions are I was told to run Klotz r 50 with premium gas at 40:1. Is this what would be recommended for my set up? Also I have read that I should lose the boost bottle..what does it do and should i keep it on, it runs fine with it. Brand new to this awesome site and would appreciate any info or input..thanks guys
