  1. Thanks! I guess i should of read this post before i popped the question about dual carbs to the other member! OOps! I have downloaded and printed that manual- will definetly be needing that! Thank you! +4 timing on the way! I don't think we will need Race gas for trails and hills, if the blaster was ok with them I'm sure the banshee will have no problems! Oh I do plan to at least take one ride however I had a bad accident at work quite a number of years ago and my right hand only does not have a thumb or index finger so it's a tad bit of a challenge to ride not being able to have a good grip! Sucks to take a pee too as I am right handed! *embarassed* I do have a plan to build this motor up more than likely next year as it is running pretty good! Unless something happens to it before then! I am keeping a list of suggestions, and I think I read a post on here earlier about welding the cranks, That is on the list sure would hate to spend a bunch of cash to blow it up in a week!
  2. Thanks! I just don't want to start throwing parts on just because his 'buddy" has it! Thanks for the timing mod tip! I think we will give that a go for now and see. Oh and the lid is off and an outerwares was fitted- previous owner. I see not too many guys are running just one carb, are we loosing some with the current set up? I've never had a two carb motor before but, not afraid to learn!
  3. Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum thing, more of my kids than me. My son had a blaster for eight years rode the crap out of it, sold it and bought a banshee. It is a 1998, this is what he tells me it has, T5 exhaust, and a 2 into 1 intake 38mm carb extended swinger, rest is stock. I know a few things about two strokes as i had to take care of the blaster for eight years. Now the questions I have are, he wants to get something called cool heads, I searched that and read up on it, looks pretty straight forward, However Is this mod going to do anything with out getting the topend ported? or should we wait? Second, the brakes on it are not working properly, So I got rebuild kits for the calipers, masters, and new SS lines. To rebuild the calipers are like any other correct i mean use compressed air to remove the front pistons, replaced seals/orings, rubbers, nothing special correct? Thanks in advance! It's a little hard to navigate the site, I guess it just will take some time?! -JS
