  1. Just a thought but you stated in your post that you put on a Ricky stator stator that could be your problem. Some of their stators even though its new have been prone to malfunction at higher rpms. If I was you try and find someone that will let you switch their stock stator for a test and if all is well with the stock one its prolly the Ricky stator stator. If it is just spend the extra and get one from Yamaha or a site sponsor.

  3. What are your jets at now? Where at in Kansas are you gonna ride?
  4. Could be wrong but I dont think its a jetting issue cause it would be the same on the other cylinder right
  5. Tried the needle its all the way down and I neex to jet the main down some but I would like to get this issue solved before I tune for best performance
  6. I dont have a sync tool but I spent prolly an hour by eye and the slide both are flush with carb opening at the same time and they both start to open the same and air screws are both at two turns out and 50 pilots with 340 Mains float height good and idle is set the same on both carbs
  7. Forgot some info I do have new boots on and tried switching plugs and wires still no change whats really puzzling is at high rpm or if I rip the throttle the left side fires good but not at idle or a little off idle

Ok guys I have a 98 shee with a K&T 4mill stock cylinder, coolhead 18cc cut domes, 35.5mm mikuni flats and cpi inframes I bought about a month ago from a friend and the engine only has prolly 10 hrs total on it and it dont fire right on the left cylinder at an idle and a little off idle but it rips great when you give it the gas and seems to fire great when rippin it. I have checked everything I can think of it has good fire and switched out cdi the stator isnt that old, I have cleaned carbs extensively and resynced, checked reeds it has vforce3 it has 165# compression both sides and not coolant burning or lose and the filters are clean and the timing is set at 5. Any ideas would help thanks in advance
  9. Just a little input if they sell c12 then ask them if the have VP blue its a new fuel that is the same as c12 it just isnt nhra approved and is about a dollar a gallon cheaper
  10. Ok you said you unhooked the tors but did you unhook the sensor wires from thumb throttle and from the box to the left of your coil as if you are sitting on the machine
  11. Set the mixture screw at two turns and since it still has the tors adjust each tors unit to adjust the idle but keep the carbs in sync

  13. I am thinking of makin a trip in June just wondering if anyone is going to be there the weekend of the 23rd_24th or the 30th_1st
