Thanks bud, I went out today pulled the choke kicked it a few times without hitting the throttle,then I think I let off the choke and kicked it a couple more and it fired up drove it about 6 miles around town, ran awesome, came back let it idle, idle mite be alil high not sure if that effects how it starts or runs but it idles great. Shut it down and 1 kick it will start every time when warm. I still gotta do my comp test but I'm going out and adjust the air screws like u said and see what that does when it's cold was u near sea leval also?

Nope I haven't but that will be next, gotta get a tester I guess, I was hoping I was just doing something wrong with hitting the throttle while kicking or something

The Plugs look ok to me after kicking over alot, I figured they would be sloppy but they were barly wet. It's got fmf gold series with fattys, proflow billet air intake, air box with no lid, boost bottle,the not sure about the reeds they are black you can't see threw them and they look to be carbon fiber, sea leval, 290 mains, 27.5 pilots and air screw 2 turns out at the moment gonna turn th back to 1.5 and see how she runs. I do have a issue with it leaking gas out the overflow hoses at the bottom of the carbs when done ridin it I have to shut the gas off or it will drop. Oh and it's not bored out stock piston/ head

So u whack the throttle while kicking it over? It's weird it will fire up instantly if I roll it down my driveway and dump the clutch in 2cd gear

What's the best way to kickstart a banshee? When it's cold I pull the choke but do I hit the throttle? Does my idle setting have any thing to do with how it will start without hitting the throttle? I know my idle was a lil set a lol high

Not sure why I have two post going on but anyway: Update: still wouldent kick over after sitting for 2 hours so I pushed to the top of my driveway let it roll down and jumped it in second, started instantly and ran like a effin champ, so idk what up with kicking it over

Does anybody have a link to a step by step carb rebuild video for me to follow to rebuild my banshee carbs?

Yes the choke tube is in place and I always have to hold to choke out because it won't stay out by itself I called the local ATV mechanic he said it sounds like I need to rebuild the carbs sounds like I'm leaking fuel through the needle seats is what I think he, said does this sound right?

After I was all fired up about finally getting this banshee running perfect yesterday... I went out to start it today and I canT get it to kick over! It's got spark, new plugs, tried to adjust the air screw, Its out 1.5 now, I know it will start with a rolling start because just by myself I can push it in my garage in second or third gear and get it to almost catch. yesterday when I finally got it started it ran great, after I got it warmed up i shut it down and it started first kick drove around a little more shut it down and a starter first kick again left it overnight and now I can't get it to start no matter how many kicks it almost caught a couple times but that's it WTF? One thing I know is when I let it sit and have the gas on the gas will drip out the overflow tubes from the bottom of the bowls does this have anything to do with it starting hard?

Lol... Yea the banshee doesn't se touch rough stuff I live in a small town and I mostly ride it on tar roads

Anybody installed the plug wires that fire off neon lights? I saw a chopper the other nite and it looked bass ass!

The right side foot pegs back bolt hole has striped completely out it just a big hollow hole now which is a bitch cause the kick start is supposed to hit the peg when kicking over ,and now it just pivots on the front bolt. anyone else have this happen I can't see a way to fix it other than tack welding the peg in place

Also it had 260 mains befor I did all this and it ran great till high rpm it stumbled but maybe the carbs wee just dirty?

Thanks! So does sea leval mean bigger jets or smaller than somebody at a higher elevation? I'll try to turn them to 1.5 and see what happens

Well it seems after all the problems I had with this 01banshee I have it right now put new spark plugs and got them at .30, turn the air screws out 2 an a half turns on each carburetor and it seems now to be good! it idols by itself it starts easy and when I give it full throttle in any gear it doesn't break up and it seems to be really good on low throttle too I'm not sure if I should keep adjusting the air' screw etc.. Or leave it alone? This is my set up. Fmf gold series with fattys, boost bottle , pro flow billet air intake, no lid on air box, tirs removed, sea leval "ish" 2.5 turns out on the are screws, 290 mains and 27.5 pilots. How's that sound?

Do I remove both spark plugs even though I do one cylinder at a time? I just watch a video on YouTube and the guy said to have the gas on and the choke on is this correct?

Does the air screw only effect idle and low speed or does it effect all the way threw full throttle?

Can someone give me step by step instructions On doing a compression test on my 01banshee? And how much psi it should have? Thanks in advance

Yea pics are not working... Is it normal for the reeds to be dark? If I hold them up to the lite I can't see threw them however I do have one extra new reed that came with the bike and I can see lite threw it pretty easy

Yes the air box is on but the lid is off

Well I lined the slides up for the notch to get in the groove and the ping marks show threw the little windows, I had 260 mains and 25 pilots before and it went good till hard throttle it would stumble/break up at high rpm's, so I was told by the forum to put in the 290/27.5. How can I tell if the slides are in rite?
