  1. What is leakdown check? Not sure how to do a compression check but i think i have watched a video on youtube about it i can find again. I read on here that I need to re-torque bolts after I break it in? they are talking about the frame right and not the actual motor? Also, it came with 2 k&n filters... Do they just mount right up to the carbs? The guy that sold me the bike has not answered the phone since i bought it off him so im clueless.
  2. So this is my first banshee. I bought the bike in pieces completely. I have put it all back together and rebuilt the motor with the help of everyone on here!! All that is left is to put the electrical in and the motor and start it up. I cant figure out where to bolt down the electrical stuff or where it goes. I also cant tell by the pics in the manual how the front mount brackets go in. Can someone take some close up pics of their electrical from the spark plugs to where the black boxes bolt down and the front engine mounts? Also, the final steps from putting the engine in to starting it up(put engine oil in tranny so far)? Obviously I have to put gas and coolant in but other than the electrical and hooking lines up anything else i should know? I just dont want to f*** this up since im so far into it. sorry for the dumb questions. I'm new to this whole thing. Again sorry for the newb questions. better safe than sorry.
  3. Clutch cover Dowel pins? If you have one can you next day to 81302
  4. Here are the pics of all the major parts with detail. If anyone sees anything I need to replace or should let me know please.
  5. Yeah hopefully I dont F**k it up. I'm in Durango, Co. bout 20 min north of NM
  6. Dude, You just made my day!! Thank you sooooo much!!! I'm so stoked to do this now!!
  7. What would you recommend should be replaced everytime the top and bottom are completely broken down and taken apart.
  8. I have already purchased clymers manual. that things is just so all over the place and the pics arent clear enough to realize clearly how it goes together. If I f*** it up then I will learn and do it again. I dont want to start paying people to do stuff when i can just learn to do it myself. I was just wondering about what i should replace while i have it completely apart.
  9. So I purchased my first quad 3 days ago. I am normally a 2 wheel kinda guy but wanted change. anyways I bought a 03 banshee and the engine is completely taken apart. The guy i bought it from said the pistons were screwed and the clutch boss. thinking this wouldnt be a hard task to put back together I bought it for pretty cheap. ONly problem is I cant find anywhere online that tells how to put it back together and the manual is just too confusing to make a list. I guess what I am asking is what should I buy to put this back together? Oils, gaskets, O rings?? Can anyone give me a list of what I should buy to get it all done that has done this before. All of the parts are there and bolts, but everything is completely stripped and cleaned. What are things that are good to replace while the engine is disassembled? Alot of questions I know but I would rather figure it out on my own than pay someone and be clueless whenever this sort of thing happens again. Any advice would be extremely appreciated. Sorry for the new guy questions, if i took it apart myself it would be alot easier to put back together but it came like this already stripped.
