ok finally got time to tear into it again, the gap is set correct ar .020 on the outside of flywheel. i check the four wires coming out going to cdi or whatever in back and get nothing, the single wire coming out does have power, what am i missing here? please any help

I did acknowledge it as a matter of fact in post you quoted me saying i havent taken cover back off to check in there yet to see whats going on, i had no idea anything could be changed in there beacause its keyed, i am going to pull it when i get off work and see.

no spark to the plug i did kick it over and the headlight are lighting up some what anyway so stator is working? they are brand new plugs all connections are good both wires are just laying just like they were for the tors shit not hooked up. havent taken cover and all back off to check in there yet for anything everything is hooked up plugged in on it

i just tried to unplig it and still no spark thats not it thanks though,

ok maybe im wrong here but there isnt a way to adjust timing unless i change to the adjustable plate right? i just put the plus 4 key in it not the plate?

no i didnt set the gap must have missed that in the manual? ill go back thru manual see if it gives directions or anything. thanks

hey guys i got to putting my banshee back together yesterday had another thread on here when i got it had tranny problems so i did full rebuild new trans had jugs machined new vitos pistons v force 3 reeds plus 4 timing key, anyway got it back in frame and tried to fire it up and it wont start??? I checked the compression and its around 110 on both cyl. checked spark and i got nothing, can anybody lead me in the right direction here please, where do i start to look? while im at ill post a link to photbucket with the pics as it sits now. ok i have read all of the post here multiple times and i cant get this thing to open it tells me the converter failed to save the file? any help here please, i did go download excell 07 i have a newer version but didnt know if that was the problem?

got into the case last night and found the carnage. it looked like the thing had blew the clutch to pieces and somehow a few of them got inside the case??? no clue how but they did anyway they got in and tangled in the gears and blew one of them into a lot of chunks, so im in search of some trans gears now, found some on babbits site but im gonna look around and see if i can find the whole thing reasonable first. ill post up pics when i find my camera lol

well i ordered the vitos piston kit today and the v force 3 reeds still waiting on the puller to get here so i can dig into the originol problem lol

sounds like fun hope i can get my shee back together for it, bout a 3 hour ride for me but we go there during summer camp right off 3 mile good times

Hello all my buddy is trying to sell his 04 shee, he bought it new and has taken very good care of it, it has not been riden hardly at all i know everybody is gonna think bs but when you look at it you will be able to tell its the truth. well i started tearing the motor down last night didnt get into the case yet becasue i didt have the flywheel tool, ordering it today, anyway the idiot that did the clutch was a real fing idiot he didnt put the thrust plate back behind the clutch basket and the nut the holds the basket in was laying inside the case apparently he lst it and got a nut from a hardware store and out it on leaving the original buncing around insdie the case tearing shit up. im guessing that is what intiated my problem. I will be psoting pics when i get the case split and update from there, ohh yea the pistons looked like shit and the reeds are shot as well, so this job is tuning into a complete overhaul. talked to a local guy here who owns hi tech horsepower and he is going to do some porting and what not for me on it so she will be a screamer lol not gonna go crazy because this will only be a trail/occasional sand ride

having trouble finding the chain slide i believe its called sits in the swingarm below sproket in the skid plate? any ideas where i can find said part all chain guides rollers completely shot

will do actually online now ordeing misc stuff, brake pads etc. dont really see how the "boost bottle" does a thing myself but it will come off. gotta find the hose to put back on, thanks for the info so far really appreciating this forum

the noise is coming from the trans. it is something in there binding it, havent dug any deeper yet still waiting on the manual before i start tearing it down. should be first of the week when i actually get to it.
