  1. He said it needs bearings in the rear which he bought already and thats it. He doesnt know what motor work is really done but he got it from an older gentleman who put some type of work in it. Also its a 97 and doesnt have a key, is it possible to wire one up? And im going to buy lights for it how hard would it be to hook them up too?
  2. nasty looking as in dirty or needs paint or like its bent up?
  3. Well I talked to the guy a little about the bike and I'm going to check it out on Saturday, so since you all ARE the experts at these bikes what is some things to look out for when I take a look at it?
  4. I'm trying not to spend over 2500
  5. That sounds like a deal to me!! I wish I could find one that cheap around here but I doubt it. I'm going to take some time and see what's available. Any other bikes on there you guys find any good? I really appreciate you guys helping me specially picking out the little things that I wouldn't notice!
  6. yea your right. I I'm willing to take some time to find the right bike I just feel like its hard to find a nice reliable bike around here. A lot of people beat the crap out of their bikes.
  7. Yes sir that's the one.
  8. Yea your right id just like to start building it from scratch. If you guys would like, take a look at the ones for sale on craigslist for my area and tell me what you think miami.craigslist.org
  9. Yes the bike is on criagslist. He asking 2000 but I'm planning on right around 1800. Bikes around here are expensive because of the demand for them, specially banshees. I just would like to get a reliable banshee that will last me.
  10. I'm going too look at it tomorrow. He says it starts first kick and everything is in great condition but the clutch thing swayed me a little bit. I wouldn't know why the clutch would be burned out but I guess ill see tomorrow. Is the clutch hard to replace anyways? And when I said unmolested I meant the motor has never been opened.
  11. The guy said the clutch is burned out and he is taking the pipes off so I will have to buy some myself. Hes gunna leave the pipes on so I can start it and if i decide to buy it he'll take them off.
  12. Hey all I am planning on picking up a 2001 unmolested banshee with just about stock everything. I'd like to know some stuff to look for when I go and check out the bike tomorrow. It needs a clutch and pipes and thats it. I'd really like to avoid buying a bike that will need rebuilding soon. What should I keep my eyes open for?
  13. Hey all this is my first post here at bansheehq. Im looking at buying a 2001 fully stock banshee which has been jetted for T6's with stock filters and no lid airbox. He's selling it to me without the pipes and I was wondering if I was to pick up some T5's would I have to change my jetting at all? He doesn't remember what jets he used in it and this is my first 2 stroke and I am sort of weary on the whole jetting thing. Also I am planning on getting some K&N filters so with that and the T5's how would the jetting go? Im living at sea level in sunny south florida so the temperature is right around 85-95 degrees farenheit. Thanks for the help! Also slightly off topic but it needs a clutch as well, any suggestions?
