  1. I figured it out. Left all ac grounds in place and ran new grounds from battery to lights to keep ac and dc separate. Put 12vit dc to red/yellow wire that the old stator wire went to and leave the old black wire disconnected. Run ground wire from the battery to black wire in all 3the stock lights and everything works like stock.
  2. So I guess to sum up what im asking is which of those 2pictures wire do I need to connect to the battery to get my lights to work. I understand I need to run the ground from the battery to the lights but I need to connect one of those two wire to get the rear light to work right?
  3. Like the topic says I just sis the high output stator and a rectifier. So now I have the 2 wires going to my battery from the rectifier. But the 2 wires going to the rear of the quad that I unhooked to plug in the rectifier that go to the lights... what so I do with them? Do I just hook them up to the battery? I just want my lights to work like stock.
  4. Yea the caps are tight. The plugs are pre gapped to 34 I think and I just leave them there. Never had a problem before. Should I try another gap. This is also the 3ed set of plugs with the same problem.
  5. Choke tube is inplace. Si I switched the plug wires from one side to the other and it got better was ut still not 100% That doesn't make sense. They fire at the same time. If the wire or coil was bad shouldn't the problem switch sides?
  6. I had27.5 and it seemed lean. Ill check the cap.
  7. Where does it cone stock? That's where it is. I never change it .
  8. Here's what I got ... New hot rods crank Bored .30 over Vforce reeds Fmf full exhaust Toomey 2 into 1the intake 30 pilot 280 main Tors delete Boost bottle Wiesco lite pistons 150psi in both sides Carb screws are 1 1/2 Br8es Carbs synchronized 94 pump gas mixed 40:1 Im at sea level Whole thing rebuilt 2 hours ago The problem Very hard to start Left cylinder cuts out under part throttle buts fine on idle and wot. Trying to figure out where to start
  9. It sat from Sunday til Thursday. Spark looks good. It runs good once it starts
  10. Plugs are wet after awhile of trying to start. Jets are all clean. Bowls are on the right side. Screws are about 1¼ turn out.
  11. But the air is thinner so wouldn't it be like having the coke on?
  12. I got fmf pipes and a intake. Its stock other than that. I got 27.5 and 290the im about 500ft above sea. I got 123psithe on left and 126 on the right. Leak down test held 8psi for 30minyou with no loss. I didn't think a change in temp would effect the jetting to the point it wont start.
  13. I have had it for about 9 months. its always started 2-3ed kick. But the last time I took it out it was a bitch to get started. 15ish kicks and it fired up and ran great. It starts warm first kick all the time. it has good compression and good leak down test. Plugs dont change anything. The only thing that has changed is the weather. its about 30* warmer. Anyone have any ideas?
  14. Bump Someone must have some pictures
  15. My swingarm roller is all busted up and Im looking to replace it. I can seem to find the one that goes over the swingarm bolt. I saw after market kits but they also do not include the one I need. Does anyone have pitcutes of the TM and Mono kits installed so I can have an idea?
  16. I just checked my jetting and I guess I had a 280 main in it and not a 290. Should I just jump down to 260? Or should I go buy some 270s. Like I said before I was having over heating problems at low trail speeds. The main shouldn't affect that right? The problem happens starting at a certain rpm at wot and stays the same through the rest of the rpm range.
  17. it acts like there is no power band i guess you could say.
  18. Not in 2nd. Slightly in 3ed but more so in 4th and so on.
  19. The plug in the picture have about 2 hours of run time of varied riding. Im not sure if you can tell anything from this plug or not. This is what the old plug looks like. Im going to try and do a "real" plug chop today. I dont have alot of open spots to really try and top it out near me.
  20. Test 1
  21. I thought with the gearing and tires I have I should have a little more low end then a stock bike. I did a plug chop. Im just trying to figure out how to upload pictures to the site from my phone.
  22. So should I back out the screw 1/2 a turn or put in a 280 jet?
  23. Thanks guys for getting back to me It starts to happen in 4th. 1st you cant really hammer it unless you want to flip over! The tires are 22x11 holeshots or 22x12 bear claws I bought the bike with the exhaust and it had stock jetting and would over heat on long tight trail rides so I went up to the 27.5 jet and it does not over heat now. so I went up to a 290 main because thats all my local shop had instock. I now have a 280 and a 300 so I could try richer or leaner. I was just looking for some help in which way to go. The plugs are wet. Bike is all stock other than what I listed. I think the black is from my oil mixture. im running 40:1 full synthetic with 93. I get oil dripping out of the exhaust, more on the right than left. Both plugs look the same. I never foul plugs and the bike starts 2nd kick everytime. (if that matters)
  24. Hey guys. I have a 02 with tors removed, toomey intake, fmf gnarly pipes, and power cores. I have 27.5/290/1 1/2 turns It seems to "drop off" about 3/4 of the way up the rpm range. Is it to rich? plugs look alittle black but not bad. I ride at 1000' or less and its been about 45* out. Drivetrain. 13/42 and 22" tall tires.
  25. Thanks. Ok, Im going to go to the local shop and see what they have. II can wait for my tors delete kit to come in, its a bitch to take the carbs out with them and the stock air box.
