  1. Sounds good. Looks like I'm buying this shee this weekend. I'll post up some pics when I do.
  2. Looking into billet impellers and an oversized radiator. For the billet impeller, am I ok to use the stock plastic gear, or should I grab the billet gear too? I'll probably run this for a little while, have some fun, and put new rings in sometime soon.
  3. 122 psi in both cylinders. I should be ok to run 93. But what I'm wondering, is if at some point this thing actually needed 104, and that maybe this needs a new set of rings.
  4. Where in NY are you? We might be able to eliminate shipping. I'm interested in the carbs.
  5. Looking good! Man it looks goofy without the front end
  6. Do you have shocks?
  7. I'm on a budget, but not as tight a budget as you might think. I have money to spend, I just want to get the most out of my money. I know porting is the way to go for extra power, but I don't have the money for the supporting mods. On another note, suspension wise, will yfz450 shocks fit on a stock suspension shee?
  8. I'm not new to the 2 stroke game. Just got out of blasters. I'll probably go ahead and do the timing mod. What's the general timing advance for a shee? Blasters generally take +4 degrees. I figured for reliability, I'll do cooling mods like oversized rad, cool head, billet impeller. Anyone disagree?
  9. Alright, I'll do that as soon as I can.
  10. I've already ridden it, and it's pretty quick. My concern is fuel. I'd like to be able to run 93.
  11. Hey guys, soon I'll be the owner of a '92 banshee. It's my dad's banshee right now, but I'll be buying it soon. You're probably wondering why the title says "what's first?", well I'm trying to figure out what to do with it first. I've found out that I don't like to leave anything alone. Right now it runs on 104 octane, meaning it probably has a smaller dome head, (probably 19cc) but it's a stock head. So what I'm thinking, is the first thing I'll get is a cool head w/21cc domes, so that I can run 93. I would run 104 if it was readily available, but it's a pain in the ass to get it. I am unsure of any internal mods on it, other than obviously a cut head, but it has somewhat rusty fmf gnarly pipes and 30mm OKO carbs. I would like to change at least the pipes if not the cheap carbs too, but am unsure what to go with. I do a lot of open riding (fields, railroad tracks, wide trails) and am wondering what pipe/carb combo might be best. I'm 16, so remember, I'm on a budget.
  12. Yeah, You can check out my build thread here --->http://www.blasterforum.com/full-rebuilds-128/primes-build-43634/ Don't have too much done, except the motor. If you read through all the posts you can see why nothing has really gotten done yet. I have to get to work on my frame (prep & paint) sometime this week, then things will really get rolling.
  13. All PM's replied to!
  14. Someone snatch up these Showa shocks!!
  15. I will send you a PM!
  16. Thanks for the info starwriter. I am aware of the requirements for fitting a banshee axle to a blaster. I am in the middle of an '03 blaster build, figured I could use some shed parts. Did some thinking, I could also use a steering stem (since shed stems are +2" compared to blaster stems) and a banshee petcock. This thing's gonna want some fuel, since it's stroked and ported, so it's getting a PWK 35. The banshee petcock should help increase the flow a little better.
  17. Hey guys, joined the forum today because I was referred here by mmajay over on blasterforum. I'm looking for a stock width banshee axle for my blaster build. Doesn't matter if it's stock or not, just as long as it is a stock width shee axle. Also, if you guys recommend any other parts for me to incorporate into my build, just let me know!!
