Shearer small bore inframe pipes and many stock parts
jayc replied to jayc's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
cylinders are stock bore. I did the porting, mostly intake, smoothed the exhaust port.. With a Noss head shearer small bores and the porting I did it was approx. 50 hp. I was in Little Sahara Utah and raced quite a few 450r's and didn't get beat. I can send you pics if you send me an e-mail address. -

done did dat......gremlins, I know it is....bastards.
-
everything is good....went from spark to no spark just from changing the thumb throttle and carbs.......i suppose s@ happens. I will go through everything.
-
Bro, I'm looking for a solution and didn't think people sat around and read every topic so I started a new one. My bad. I will post pics of this bitch after I blast it with a 12 ga.
-
gap is at 19 still no spark.
-
I swithed to a Moose racing throttle mechanism and no spark....plugged in the old throttle piece and still no spark. 10 mil cub, 40 lectrons, alky, nology coil.
-
No I unplugged that when I went to 38 lectrons......haven't done anything but changed the timing to +8 and switch to 40 lectrons and changes the throttle piece. Also tried new plugs to no avail. The gap at the flywheel is set at 16 is that good?
-
Just pulled the plugs and got no spark.....I also replaced my stock throttle with a Moose racing piece. could that be the issue elctrically
-
I have a 10 mil cub and just bought new Lectron 40's for alky...won't start everything looks good but won't start

Anyone try mixing a little nitro with meth? maybe 5% or 10% of nitro 50 VP

I'll be in Glamis with this bike from 3/20 to 3/23
-
I'll post some pics tomorrow......here's the thing guys, this motor makes power and torque thats what I was wanted. I think it will be a badass dune bike, if not I'll turn it into a drag bike and start over on a dune bike. I'll find out soon enough.
-
I wanted to try the overide....I will be doing some drags but a lot of dune riding...heading to Glamis in a couple weeks. The overide might not work out, if it doesn't I'll go back to stock. The torque numbers is what I was hoping for and they are at 57 ft. lbs. I think. 100 hp dune bike is pretty awsome if you ask me. How is dune riding with your cub?

Yes, Andy did some portwork

Andy at M & M posted it somewhere on here

Put my 10 mil serval, 68 mm on a dyno, 98 hp without a complete tune. got about three runs in and my kick start gear came lose, C clip came off, and locked it up. Probably around 105 hp with it tuned. I will take it back for another dyno run soon. Got most of the parts from M & M. 38 mm Lectrons, V-Force 3, Shearer in frame small bores, Lock up clucth, 2-5 over ride trans, 6" over swingarm, Motowoz shocks, C 12 gas. Rode it today and it's faster than sh@#. Tranny works great, front end is hard to keep down. Heading to Glamis in a couple weeks, should be fun.
-
All Andy is doing is trenching the cases and going a little further on the ports for my serval cylinders. I will be putting the motor together.
-
Andy said you can go either way....I was asking for opinions, maybe there some of you that have tried both and seen different results. Thats why I posted this. Not evrybody rides the same nor does everybody want the exact same results.
-
Andy at M&M ATV is working the cases and going to do an inbetween port per my request. He said the same thing basically one or the other but we are going to try it and see what happens. I am a drag racer at heart but love the dunes, Little Sahara in UT., Glammis, Little Sahara in Oklahoma as well. My motor was stock except the minor porting I did, which did help considerably, M&M head, timing, Shearer SB pipes, HD clutch. I will end up with +2+1 A Arms, all Motowoz shocks, 6" over swingarm, 10 mil "cubal", 40mm lectrons, new domes, keeping the SB Shearers, etc. I am going to have Andy dyno it after I get it put together, I'll post the numbers.

Motowoz has been in business since 2005. Genrally you give a business 3-5 years if their still around they will most likely survive. The owners were in this business before is what I was told. Needless to say I went all top of the line Motowoz front and back. I will give some feedback later.

Has anyone taken serval cylinders and done a halfway port to a cub? I am going to a 10 mil serval but may have them do a halfway port to a cub to gain a few more horse but try and maintain some lowend.
