  1. good info right here ! thanks.... it was a weak spark from an old rusty plug boot, switched it and now shee's happy again! Thanks for the break down fellas!
  2. it turned out to be the colder side plug boot, it had a weak spark so I decided to replaced both.... now its on Glamis bro!
  3. I second this ... if everything checks out good, check the coil boots mke sure there making good contact
  4. hey bud did you thoroughly clean your plastics before you slaped the pltidip on ? I just bought a few cans but now I'm thinkn twice about spraying it...
  5. I also bought my carbs used on ebay I'll check that out...
  6. I did a leak down test and came out good...I'll doit again to double check
  7. I synced the stock carbs with the window slide... how is the sync tool used with aftermarket carb boots ?
  8. I did the leak down test it turned out good, I switched plug wires same symptoms,I switched plugs nothing! I checked the carbs nada! I tried the coils from other banshee no dice! IS IT ELECTRICAL SINCE PULLING THE COOLER SIDE PLUG NOT SHUTTING THE ENGINE DOWN ?

  10. when the plug wires are pulled during rev the engine is suppost to shut down right ??? I have a banshee and one side of the pipes is getting hotter than the other... I pulled the hot side wire plug while in rev and the engine shut down normal right... well, when I pulled the colder side during rev the bike keeps running ??? You fellers have anything like that happen to your banshees ??? Please let me know... Im to the point where Im about to pull the cdi. any suggestions fellas ? Thanks!
  11. yup, carbs are good. I even put my hand over both carbs mouth, both of them are sucking air. I pull the choke out and the engine wants shut down .... what else can it be but the cdi I'll try that tomorrow And post the result. Thanks Adam!
  12. Adam, I didnt want to hear that but was one of my next steps in the process of elimination ... I have all the wires soldered to the stator... any other suggestions before I do that Thanks!
  13. just tried the ignition coil from my other banshee.... same symptoms

  15. just switched the plug on the colder side no difference did the same thing as above I removed the plug wire it shocked me and the engine kept running... I removed the hotter side plug wire and it shut off (no shock) you think it might be the ignition coil ?
  16. No prob brutha! I'm in the same boat.... I just removed the plug wire on the hotter side while in idle and it turned off ...tried the same thing on the colder side while in idle , it shocked me !!! and the engine kept running I'am about to try some new plugs see what it does be back in a few!
  17. both side are firing its just that the left side gets alot hotter quick... I'll try some new plugs...

  19. oh yeah I also swaped the plug wires same pipe was still getting hotter, I also cleaned the carbs and shot compressed air through them Thanks bro... you guys have any other suggestions ?

  22. what up fellas! I need some help here. My left side pipe is hotter than the right at idle by the way its a new build ... compresion is good stock carbs are synced floats are set ... I'm starting to think my left piston rings arent set causing it to heat up I'm also hearing pinging coming from the hotter pipe but when I hold on to it it stops so I'm thinking its rubbing on something any suggestions ??? Thanks in advance!
  23. are those hiem joints you went with, would that be the prefered choice over 12mm ball joints ? The reason I ask is cuz I was told hiems start squeeking....
