  4. Man i have wanting to drive one of the new F-150s either the 5.0 or the Ecoboost, from what i hear on the F-150 forum the new engine line is way better than the Triton line ever dreamed of being. I would agree that the new dodges have a good aggressive look to em its a leap back to the early-mid ninety's style that I always liked, they finally dumped the dopey massive headlights. I think one of the best looking trucks right now is the GMC 2500s I have seen a few lifted ones around and they give me a bit of a stiffy haha

  5. That's why there's $10,000 in rebates on Dodges, cant give em away. I have an 08 F-150 and love it, haven't had a single problem with it.

But seriously that does seem like a lot of problems for any truck even a Dodge, sounds like you got a lemon, but its no good for lemonade. Go trade it in for a Ford and be done with it haha

  6. I wanted to repack my pipes so heres what i saw when i toke off the right one... ( the left one is ok) Is it bad for the engine that i drove it this way?

Did you end up getting the silencers figured out? I just repacked my silencers and if you have any questions let me know, the Toomey site is kind of vague as to how they go together. The baffles aren't welded in like on some pipes they just slip in on each end, takes a little patience but eventually everything lines up and you can put the caps back on. Toomey also has the repack kits and baffles on their website, not to pricey either, that's where i ended up getting my parts.

  7. This is my first attempt at lending advise so i hope i don't botch it to bad, im sure if i get anything wrong someone will certainly call me out on it :shootself:

If you suspect you have some loose ball joints or tie rod ends one way to check it would be to jack the front wheels off the ground and push/lift on the tire and watch for any slop/play in the ball joints. Being an 87 its highly possible that some or all have taken a beating and have a little play.

Wider arms are going to give you more stability and a wider stance, if you do a lot of blazing in the woods your going to want to consider whether or not an additional 2 or 4 inches of width in the front is going to be a hindrance. Having a set of wider arms built also allows you more choices in what shocks you want to run, from what i have gathered even going to a stock YFZ 450 shock which are longer than banshee shocks are a huge upgrade over stock.

Im actually building an 87 right now and Tim at Stellar is building a set of extended J-arms for me, were both in Tucson so i got to go to his shop and look around when i placed my order, his fabrication is on point and i cant wait to get my arms, so i would say if your thinking about getting a set made hes the guy to talk to, great guy to deal with.

Hope this helps and im sure some other people will chime in as well.

  8. Looking for a set of T-5 silencers if anyones got an extra pair they would be willing to part with.

I have a set of FMF fattie Pipes and Powercore silencers that i would be willing to trade. The pipes are in good shape but the pipes going into the silencers are bent, previous owner told me someone had heated them up and bent them to use on a go cart or some foolish thing. I know they arent worth much in their current condition but maybe someone could do something with them.

Cash or trade let me know

    Thanks
