  1. Alright guys well here it is in the dunes, I havnt got a picture yet with the new pipes and headlights yet but they are coming. Let me know how you think it turned out. The only thing I told her was I think it should have black rims but she thinks different, what do you think.

  2. I was searching around on the topic race fuel. When I bought the banshee the guy told me he has been running 110 race fuel sine he built it. I need some help understanding this and if I need to run race gas or not. I have 155 PSI on each cylinder, trinity head, vitos 4 mil kit, the domes Iam un aware of, all he told me was that they are race gas domes  .. Is there a way to tell if I pull them out? Im going to be in oregon for 2 weeks so I will be at sea level. Ill post my jets in a bit when I have them apart.

  3. I have 2 sets of rear paddle tires.

1 set is 21x12-8 8 paddles haulers. Mounted on douglas black label rims. Good condition, minor chunk taken out of a couple paddles from the heel gaurd on a YFZ (buddies fault). Doesnt effect the performance at all. Hook up great. Was wanting to get $250 obo plus ride.

2 set is 21x12-8 8 paddle haulers. Mounted on Douglas blue label ultralite rims. The only issue with these is there is a chunk out on a couple and some cracking. Not to bad, I still used them after I bought them like this and they worked just fine. I was hoping to get $175 obo plus ride for those but let me know if anyone is interested and I will get a picture up. Just seeing if anyone is interested.

    Here is the first set:

  4. No reason to run CLR... If you want a good flush, drain the system, fill with water, run it for a few minutes, drain again, then take a blow gun and blow threw the radiator cap and push all the water off. All I use my banshees for is dune riding and I will honestly swear by Engine Ice. They claim to run alot cooler and I swear my bikes run cooler. Look into that and buy some, 1 jug fills our radiators. Cheap and a good product IMO.

  5. Had the same problem this past weekend on the dunes. The bike was running good and then all the sudden bogged down and lost power. I figured it was fowling the plugs but I looked down and there was a steady stream of fuel coming out of the right side carb. Pulled it apart and cleaned it about 20 times and still leaked. Like erickson said, I took the butt of a screw driver and hit the side of the carba few times and it knocked the float loose. If you had the floats out maybe one of them got bent out a little and is catching on the actual bowl itself when it is all re-assembled. This was my problem. Hope this helps.

  6. I swtiched everything over off of my 04. I wanted them to have the same plugs as eachother so in need of any electrical parts I could just swap real quick. She has spark now, Im not sure what the problem was with the other harness but this harness works. The coil I was using had a loose end and wasnt getting a good ground, so I threw the older one on real quick and she runs like a champ. Other then the gas overflowing in the carb and some other minor little tweaks this baby is ready to rip. Thanks all for the information you guys helped out alot!!

    :cheers::headbang:

  7. I have an 04 that I think im going to switch the wire harness onto the 96 so it is the same when its all said and done. The only thing I havnt checked is the CDI box. It was working before the build but now nothing. Im confused at how it could go bad but who knows. Does anyone see an objection to switching to the newer wire harness. No dmfisher, those 3 do not have to be plugged in I believe.

  8. Here is what is unplugged. Thanks for the schematic  .. The throttle switch is unplugged, also the plug coming of the front brake master cylinder, the 2 tors plugs, ground for tail light (even tried it grounded) and blue wire for the brake pedal.

Im pulling my hair on this thing right now. Ran perfect before the build. I have had the flywheel off and the stator but I tested the stator and seemed ok, my tester was on 2k ohm and it read .018.

edit: also stupid question, does motor mount have to be metal to metal (grounded). Flywheel gap is good and spark plug gap is good.

  9. Got the motor and everything back in, wire harness and everything bolted up and connected.

    NO SPARK!

The tors have been removed before I started the build and it ran fine. So the 2 grey plugs that arnt plugged in should be fine, There is one black plug up there by the coil (black solid wire and black with yellow stripe wire) not sure about that one.

I tested the 2 stators I have and the ohms are at .019 for both. I read online its supposed to be between .013 and .050. Someone chime in an tell me if whomever was correct.

Any leads after this would be great.

    Thanks guys!

  11. Closer and closer. The yellow shocks are not what we are going to end up with. They will be replaced with some nice Elkas or Works, just waiting for the funds to roll around. But shes getting there. Motor should be in this week just waiting on a top end kit to show up and a bunch of other parts.
