  1. CUT ALL 4 WIRES AT SWITCH END OF DISCONNECTABLE CONNECTION, THEN LEAVE THE WHITE AND RED ALONE (NOT CONNECTED), THEN TIE TOGETHER THE 2 BLACK ONES TOGETHER THEN WRAP WITH TAPE SO THEY DONT GROUNT/SHORT OUT

This is an old thread. Out of all the threads why did you chose this one to create an account and respond to this as your first post?

  2. Banshee's aren't exactly newb friendly. My buddies 450r absolutely raped me on our first go. I wasn't in the powerband to start and held each gear wayy to long. After I got used to it we run neck and neck, and that's on asphalt. It's definitely gonna take a good rider to keep up with either of those machines.

Also like people have said, just go ride and have fun. It's not like you're entering into a GNCC race against Bill Ballance.

  3. I have a carb that was on a Blaster that I am thinking may work on the Banshee but I'm not 100% what it is. It's a Keihin PWK and the only numbers on it are 29SBOOHM but when I google that nothing comes up. Also I am unfamiliar with the Banshees carb set-up. Is there linkage or anything that joins the carbs together? It doesn't look like it. Basically what I'm wondering is can I buy another one of these carbs and make it work?

  4. Both of those quads are right at home in the woods, especially with the irs. Also the Renegade has gobs of useable power and is automatic, with a good rider I wouldn't be suprised if you have a hard time keeping up with it.

Edit: You said trails, I was thinking woods. Outcome will probably come to riders regardless

  5. ....right after I switched to caster 927 32:1 from cheapy kawi oil at 32:1. It's been running so freaking good but today after I put the caster in it it got to where it wouldn't rev out or pull on the midrange. It just sort of spits and sputters and when it does rev out it's only on one cylinder. I thought it was the tors so I unplugged it but no luck.

Would switching to a better oil make it run richer at the same ratio for some reason?

Oh, I put two new plugs in it also.

  6. I don't even know the gearing. It has wore out stock Dunlops on it. I was thinking shaving the head, timing plate, pod filters and rejet, and playing with the gearing like you said. I'm kinda hesitant about milling the head though. People have said the cranks like to come apart when you start adding cornpression.

  7. Lets hear some stories of battles between your Banshees and fo fitties. My last sport quad was a trx450r and I really liked, I'm in the mood for another one actually.Anways, here is my story...

1998 Banshee with T5's and a K&N filter with airbox and even lid still installed vs. my buddies 06 trx450r with HRC kit only. It's really amazing how close we are when we go WOT down the back roads. It's dead even, even at top speed. Now, if we switch quads I murder my own Banshee on his 450, but he does have about 80lbs on me and I don't think he's used to the quicker shifting and powerband of the shee.

Anybody else ever battle it out with the new breed, any color?
