  1. i will try the oil. i do have the sync tool and its sync with it. I'm not expecting to have my cake and eat it too. was just seeing if i can get rid of what i have. if i have to deal with it because of the pipes then i will. thx for the advice i will look into it one step at a time.
  2. Oh gotcha I know where there at thx.
  3. Elevation is 0 to 500 feet. No port. I tried to check the float height but i cant see through the little window things. Carbs are clean and in sync. I run 93 and at 40 to 1 mix with benol. I will try the 25/300. If or when I get new reeds wil 25/300 still be good?
  4. What size would you recomed on both?
  5. I know the main jet is a 310
  6. If im in 1st or 2nd gear and roll out smoothly I have not hesitation. Its only when I hit it hard. Only real thing done is what I said above. Was told it got T5 and a jet kit. The bike runs smooth other than what I explain. I will check at 4th or 5th gear next time explain and see what RPM im at by gessing tho..
  7. other than that the bike runs flawlessly. first bike ever so I'm way new to the 2-stroke stuff. oh yeah I'm at 0 to 500 foot level fkn love it tho, so much fun in the sand.
  8. it only when I'm trolling around and then jump on it. it hesitates first then takes off. mostly notice between 1st and 2nd. if I'm in first just cruising around and want to try and pull a wheelie or hammer on it, then it does it
  9. thanks i will check on those things.
  10. Hey all. pretty new to the banshee stuff. but i have a question. first whats done to the bike K&N two into one T-5 pipes Ricky stater timing +4 jetted not 100% sure on size. carbs are in sync!! no hesitation when warm and at idle and when you wrap out the throttle but when its under load it has a hesitation when you hit the go button and then takes off. how do i get rid of this?
  11. so i could just get the reed part and dont have to get a aftermarket cage as of right now. like these ones you posted. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Boyesen-Power-Reeds-Yamaha-Banshee-1987-2006-/280640960301?pt=Motors_ATV_Parts_Accessories&hash=item415781372d
  12. What's the aftermarket reeds on stock cages. Is that different then the link listed above.
  13. Awesome thank man. With the reeds what do I have to get for that and what kinda money would I be looking at. I looked into the timing plate today. Seemed like a real cheap mod for what you get. I will take your advice on the porting. I am a total nood to banshees.
  14. I thought this video was pretty good http://m.youtube.com/index?desktop_uri=%2F&gl=US#/watch?v=hpqeSpbq0PQ
  15. So I could use some of your guys help in my next step for budget/cheaper mods. I ride at 0 to 500 feet. Mostly in the dunes. So far what I have or have done. T5's No air box with K&N Main jet 310. Pilot 27.5. Would like to here some of your guys help. I don't want to do much to the motor its self right now. Might do a small port job? Thx guys.
  16. Yes meant "rejetted". Yes it has a K&N and Pipe. So I should go down to a 300?
  17. the temp is anywhere from 55 to 80 degrees. elevation is 0 to 500. unsure of mods. i am running T5. and i know the carb has been rejected.
  18. I am a new banshee owner and was going through some clean up on the carbs and noticed i was running jet size of 310. the bike runs really good. the spark plugs look really good. the seem to be the perfect color. not rich at all not lean at all. so my question is, is 310 way to big. and if not what kind of mods could of the first owner done to keep the plugs looking good with a 310 jet. second question should i go down a size or two here is a pic of my plugs. what do you think. this is after 5 tanks of gas. here the bike.
