So with some help, I was able to rebuild top end of my 02 banshee! What a difference it made! I see there is a lot of talk on advancing the timing by 4 degrees. Is it worth the effort? How much can I expect to gain by doing this? Is there a good walkthrough available? Also I was wondering what all is involved in installing a 4mm stroker crank? Is it as simple as buying the crank and installing it in place of the stock crank? Or do u have to buy special rods and pistons etc etc? Not all that mechanical so hope these are legitimate questions.

I am the original owner of an 02 banshee it is pretty much stock. It has toomey t6 pipes, vforce reeds, k&n off carb filters, and a few other cosmetic bolt ons! Well it's time for a top end rebuild! I was wondering what y'all would suggest! I would like to make 60+hp, but keep it reliable and easy to maintain. All my buddies 4 stroke bikes are making about 50hp! I would like to woop em and get the last laugh. What would be the cheapest way to accomplish this? We ride mostly in the dunes!
