  3. hey guys. sorry if this is in the wrong fourm but im stuck and i need help. a buddy of mine has a kid who was bugging him for a dirtbike. i happened to find one for him and the dude gave it to me for a six pack of busch. i couldnt pass it up. so i got it home and it was clear the thing had been sitting. long story short the motor is no good and im looking to just swap the motors cause i cant be running over there every time the kid takes it out and breaks somthing and my buddy wouldnt be able to do anything. does anyone know if theres any motors that thatll fit rigth in there? ebay motors even. im just stuck
  4. i forgot to mention i have a durablue rear axle. i hit a lotta whoops. i think theres some kinda illness going around nj where every pit is slowly becoming one big whoop section ( not as fun as it sounds ). i always carry a tool bag with me ( besides my friends ) and this weekend im gonna play with it a bit. see which way i like better
  5. hey guys. so after blowing my rear carrier last weekend i bought a new oem carrier with new povit bearings and tapped it to add a zerk fitting because i think its stupied that it doesnt have it from the factory. i grabbed a younger banshee rider that i live by we went to town. ripped off the skid plated and cleaned it all up. cleaned the dura blue axle with some thinner and elbow grease and got it looking like a million bucks. i showed him how to adjust the chain and how to check it with the the extra rider weight and got everything ready so we can go out and break somthing else this weekend ( lol ). when i stepped back too look at what a awsome job we did i notice that it looked like the left side was sticking out farther. opps we but the wheel on backward. than after some quick debating we decided to flipped the otherside to where the offset of the tire was inwards which gave the quad about a extra inch and a half ( with stock tires ).i left the front tires alone ( offset facing outwards ) i used to do this on my blaster when i was younger but for some reason it never crossed my mind to do it with the shee. im from nj and due to the lack of riding in the state we do a lot of pit riding with a tat of trails. i figure its gotta put a bit more stress on the studs but i dont think itll break anything, though only time will tell. anyone else play with these offsets like this? break anything? when you did it howed it handle? did you just do the back tires, just the front tires, both? im gonna play around with it this weekend i just figured someone else might of done this and might be able to save my weekend and my wallet. incase i dont get back to you guys in time hope everyone has a good ride this weekend and everyone stays safe. thanks in advance for your help.
  6. this is the funniest thing ive heard all day. i was out the other day ( i live in nj ) and i ended up helping this father with his kids quad and we started talking. hes a cop. from that town.
  7. what gear do you leave the gate in? the few times i have raced with my friends ive noticed that second gear wont smoke up the tires. is that common pratice or is everyone a little different and im just gonna have to go to trail and error
  8. i spent most of today calling up different tracks and trying to peice together what i can. thank you for all that info. it pretty much answered every questioned i had, and if you wanna give me some hints on the staging, im sure i need all the help i can. i went to atco's track site ( local nj track ) and saw the listing and some dates. im siked to start. thanks again guys.
  9. hey guys. ive been riding for a few yrs and decided i wanna start racing. idk about going pro yet but just to go out there and bump around. im 22 and have never raced before. my shee is pretty stock. pipes, jets, carb, some nerfs and thats about it. can anyone help me figure out the classes and stuff. im from nj and there isnt much racing here and i think ima try going to atco in sj. can anyone tell me what class would be best for me and what is the track req for my quad to run. thanks in advance guys
  10. when its cold out i use starting fuild to start it up. i dont know if its bad but its the only way to get my kicked. my 91 rm250 is the same
  11. so i was on craigslist today and came across itp 4 spoke racing 10inch wheels with 18x8 american racing street tires that the guy said were on his 250r and 400ex. he told me there were also on his rapter. now i looked up the bolt patterens and unless i missed somthing i dont know if they are gonna fit. i think it said honda was diff from yamaha ( which makes sense really ). for 50 bucks i cant go wrong but i did really wanna but them on the shee. any know if theyll fit or if the tires and rims are any good. thanks guys
  12. is there a reason for the nitrogen?
