  1. some 76 gas stations hav 100 octane race gas. i live in covina, in southern cali and theres one down the street. we always go there to get my dad 100 octane
  2. to adjust float itts the little metal part tht holds the needle. u hav to bend it up towards the top of carb, away from bowls. thts wht happened when i pulled it off first time. dont just sell bike

  3. i tapped the scrrew handle on both, now the gas is only leaking out of the right carb, not the carb with the choke lever. now i guess i should jst take off the other carb and clean? * but now it also looks lik gas is seeping out even when i have the gas off??? i knw this is a minor problem but its pissing me off lol

Ya i need to pick up the clymers manual, jst need to find a job lol. i turn 18 in 6 months and gotta start paying for stuff myself. ya i wanna try taking the carbs off and cleaning them out before i start buying parts that i may not need. For the *idle, its the 2 screws and they hav to be turned equally right??? my dad got lucky, he has a pretty modified yfz 450 and i think his only has the one fuel adjustment screw :/ Thanks for all the help

Im entirely new to banshees, i jst picked her up about a week ago, finally took off my 12 inch itp rims with sandstars and put on my knobbies. went to start her up and she wouldnt go, then realised i had the gas off lol. ran her a little and rode her around the block. when i stopped and turned her off i noticed gas was seeping out of the overflow tubes. once i turned the gas off it stopped. i asked a couple of people what was the problem and i got all different answers: 1. you need to take bowls off and clean them out 2. you need something lik new neddles and something else, would cost are $64 3. the floats are adjusted too high Im new to all this, dont knw a whole lot about motors, i was gonna take the carbs off and clean them if that was the problem. does anybody know what the problem is??? lastly it idles a bit too high, to fix that would i turn the air intake screws on the side of the carbs? if so, i have to make sure they get turned the same amount of notches or they will be out of sync right? please get back to me if u can help out, the shop was gonna charge $225 to go through the carbs and + whatever i need to pay for parts :/ " my shee is entirely stock, jst has t5's, boost bottle, and some steel braided lines, no big mods yet"
