  1. Didn't work for me too.. Make attempt several time but never been accepted. My name on Fb is Dany Boutin
  2. Which dealer do you recommand to buy my gasket kit, seal kit etc for the rebuilt ??? I know Tony Doukas, which one else ???
  3. Ok maybe you are right, I dont have lots of xp in porting but I was supposing that the exh dropped to BDC will help flow and fill the combustion chamber with more fresh air/fuel... Correct me if i'm wrong..
  4. Thanks for the blow down description. Yess I didn't mesure before because I was throwing a 4mill crank on it but as soon as I rebuilt I will do all the mesurement and work from there on the next port job depending on how the bike run.
  5. What I did is to cut the base to make it perfect fit to the transfert on the base of the jug. I PM you, I want to know as much as I can on porting !!!
  6. What do you mean by blow down ? Exhaust port duration ??
  7. I have a stroker crank so the exh need to be dropped too
  8. Transfert are dropped to BDC and are matched to the case. I worked every little detail I saw that could make air flow better. Since I want a trail bike setup with lots of midrange I did not raise any port. The job are not completly finish yet, I'm looking to widen the port a bit. I was also trying to figure out if I should open up the intake port a bit but I think my best bet would be to just work the upper part a bit to improve flow... What do you think ?
  9. For info, how much hp and tq a stock banshee with T5 will reach ?
  10. I matched all transfert port to the base, 4x boost port, chamfer where needed, dropped transfert and exhaust port to BDC and matched to the T5 pipe. Cool head 24cc, 135 psi on pump gaz. .052 squish. PWK 33mm with 2x K&N Pods + 2 brand new VF4.
  11. I would guess that a 4mil get more that 40-45hp and 8100 rpm... But 30+tq that would be real nice for a trail bike on tight trail I'll let you know how I like it but I can't put it on a dyno as the only one I know is 200 miles from here...
  12. Here a pics of the jug I currently port for my 4 mill stroker longrod with T5 pipe. Tell me what you think.
  13. Yes I have a 4mill longrod crank and there is a thick .080 head gasket sold at Bansheedepot.com that give the extra clearance to the head chamber to run your stock head or stock dome without milling but it's also true that it's a shitty way to built a 4mill so i'll get my dome cut tomorrow Thanks for the help I order this plate cause I wanted to test it and see how it goes but when I take my squish this morning I thought it was way too much so I get scared and ask here
  14. Ok thanks for your fast reply I currently using the thick .080 head gasket cause I cant find any coolhead stroker dome anywhere.. Nor ebay than TDR.. If you know place that sell them I would be pleased to know it.. It was on my plan to bring my stock stroke dome to a machine shop to be machined 2mm deeper cause I know the thick head gasket is a shitty way to built it...
  15. Hi, i'm currently building a 4mill longrod with 65.50 bore stock cylinder and a light port job. I have a squish band between 0.070 & 0.080 is it right ? Thanks
  16. No, you'll need a big bore head wt dome or a machined stock head
  17. Hahaha that fucking awesome Seller and his business of Die Hard Racer's have 3 feedback and there all for buying thing xD XD I thing I'll ask for Dyno Chart
  18. hahaha no I don't want to be a 4 stroke. I had a 450r 2007 and I hate it, for sure the torque and powerband are cool and are even better than my shee but it's not comparable with a 2stroke pull... Anyway I just want my bike to be a bit less On/Off.
  19. For now I have a set of T6 with stock jug install on my bike and a set of T5 on my garage to work with my ported stock stroke jug that need new sleeve. I know T6 won't work great with ported engine so I found someone who want to trade his PT Mid's for my toomey's. I do trail riding in tight and wide open trail. But I prefer to set-up my bike for tight trail cause it's were I have problem with the Tommey's... There's much more high rev's pipe so i'm mostly on the clutch and tire slip all the time... I want a bike that push very hard in the midrange so i'll be able to adjust my gearage to run fast on open trail and still be able to let him torque on tight one. But I was wondering if PT Mid and the 4mill will be too much Midrange bike and do I still have a bit of High Rev with this setup ? Thanks
  20. Ok thanks ! So I'll be gentle on the exhaust port I'll try to contact the pipe manufacturer as soon as I choose which one I'll put in. I found a very nice trade on PT Mid's do you think it work great on a 4mill ?
  21. That's why I want to do it myself. Maybe i'll never be an expert, and maybe I'll hate doing porting but, to know that I have to try. And I really like to do new thing too. THe worst thing that can happen is that I mess up a set of cylinder and I ended up with a Serval kit (Not so bad for me at all !) loll ! For the book, I'll try to find them. What do you think of Mac Dizzy's I begin to read his stuff. I think I will do as you said armvet, I'll begin my job slowly with a port and polish and lower the port floor to BDC. See how he like it and work it more later.
  22. I already have a Long neck 5'' grinder, 90 angled air grinder, a micro pencil air grinder and a standard grinder. I swear it's more than enough to do the job, all I need to know for now is a bit of theorie and some # cause I never port a banshee. I can do the calc, I found some good topic here on this forum about how to use the degree wheel and mesurement, Yeah i'm a novice and I yes it's a bit risky too but I think it worth the cost and if I don't try I'll never know But, I don't know much about which work on the port will do what and I don't want to end up with a Drag oriented banshee or a messed up duration so i'm sure someone here can help me out.
