Ok that is what I was thinkin I tried unscrewing the part where the throttle cable hooks up but it is dam tight...

Thanks for the info so far but do you have any idea how to change the needle out of the slide? i stared at it for about 20 minutes the other day and for the life of me I cant see how it comes out

Hey Everyone, First off I'll introduce my banshee. 1987 bored .40 over, FMF Gnarly pipes with powercore 2 cans, trinity 2:1 intake with k&n and half airbox, 38mm PWK airstriker carb, and some new veto's reeds. I am looking for some advice on where to begin with the tuning and jetting of the carb. This carb does NOT have a metering rod with a c-clip it has a set screw on the intake side of the carb to lean and richen up the needle. What size jets and what turns should I begin with on this project? Thanks!

I have a 38mm airstriker too and i gotta ask what were you running for jets and turns on the needle and air screws i am totally shooting in the dark here? thanks!

I just got done adding some parts to my 1987 shee today and have no idea whats going on with the jetting. FMF Gnarly with power core II's open air box with k&n bored .40 over trinity 2 into 1 with a 38mm pwk airstriker first off from everyone's experience has anyone seen someone with the same setup as me so i can ask them about the jetting size they use. and the airstriker has a screw for the metering rod instead of a clip so maybe find out a rough estimate of how many turns it needs.
