  1. Ahh...I see. Yeah it's already ported, I got the work done at RIS here in So Cal, got they're "big bore kit", port/polished. I'll take a look at adding the VF reeds first, then add the cool head and then the pwk28 cabrs.. In that order??
  2. I'm still learning so again, forgive my ignorance but what do you mean by rechamber my stocker? And again, unless I'm going to go bigger on the engine/pistons, just stay with the stock carbs right?
  3. I would but money is tight right now and I've already put a good penny into it already. When i bought it, it was bone stock with shitty FMF pipes, rust, bald knobbies. looks nice but now i need to work on power.
  4. Yes stock reeds as well as head. If i get a cool head do i also need to replace the domes as well?
  5. That helps tremendously, yes it is ported. So without upgrading to a bigger/better engine, those mod's are prob gonna be the best bang for my buck right?

  7. I just assumed the better/bigger carb, the better power. If i'm tryign to get more power/faster, what other bolt on's can you suggest?
  8. Hi guys, i'm looking to upgrade my stock carbs, i'm not too up on whats the latest and greatest in the carb world so forgive my ignorance. I have an 02, bored/port on stock engnine, shearer pipes, k&n's. Any suggestions on sizes/brand? I mainly dune around in glamis/dumont, not a drag shee at all. just like to get out there and mess around in the bowls or hit comp hill. i appreciate any advice you can offer. thanks.
  9. Thanks guys for the feedback. To answer some of the questions: I dont know what my compression is, the BORE was done out of RIS Designs here in LA area. The work was done in November, I've taken the bike out 3 times since, I didnt have any issues on the first weekend out but the last two I've had this happen. So pretty much it sounds like you guys are saying its a pre-det issue most likely from jetting and or air leak/dome issue. Aside from going back to RIS, is there anything that I might be able to do myself or is going back to RIS my best bet?
  10. Hey all, I just got back from Dumont this past weekend and am looking for some advise from the Banshee community. Before i go into what my issue is let me give some info on what I have; an 02 shee, big bore kit (done recently), K&N's, boyseen reeds, mixing at 32:1, TORS removed and br8es spark plugs. I've had the right spark plug pop out, which essentially causes the bike to bog out and i loose power obviously. Plugs were new and the oil was a dark black on the plug. When i say the plug poped out, its as if the plug was loose and simply unscreswed itself. This has happened to me 3 times now, initially i thought maybe it was just high compression since i had just had the big bore kit added and i dismissed it, now though i've had plenty of time to break in the new kit and i'm stumped on what the issue might be other than maybe having to re-jet....? Any suggestions/ideas?
