  1. We got off topic... Anybody have anything on FAST cut pro mods?
  2. It's hard to say how many hours on the bottom end as I bought it used but I would say it is on the higher end for the life of a crank. The left side thrust bearings were looking pretty thin as well so it was probably just its time to go. I was still shocked to see the damage as I figured it would just be a slightly leaned piston. I am really thankful it didn't fully grenade. And before it comes up, I did leakdown test it before tearing it down and it held 6psi for over 30 minutes.
  3. They are 795 series forged wiseco's on stock bore. I wouldn't think they could bend a hot rods crank...
  4. The one plug was slightly grayish but the other looked great. Bores and pistons still look great no aluminum or visual wear at all. Just a very small light scratch from a bearing piece passing. Wish I had more pics. I'll post some Monday when I'm back at shop.
  5. Not that I could tell, radiator was completely full as well as the reservoir. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. That's the only thing I could think of too as it reminds of PWC rod failures from getting submerged or rolling over the wrong way but where could the water have come from? Radiator and res were still full and I had been riding it all day before it happened. I was WFO in 6th when it failed and shut it down immediately. Spark plug looked to be firing at time of failure too. Is it possible the main jet could have worked loose and took a surge of fuel in? I'll have to check the carbs on Monday... 7. I'm still puzzled by the bent rod? The top end is still almost perfect. Just a tiny ball point pin sized ding in the dome and a very light scratch on the cylinder wall from a piece of bearing that made it up there. No sign of heavy enough contact to bend the rod... 8. I'm looking to get a pro mod tranny done while I have the cases split for a new crank. I spoke to Jeff at FAST today about it while I was ordering a new crank and plan on sending him my trans next week to get cut. I've done quite a bit of searching these forums but I can't seem to find anyone who has had one cut from him, all I find are great reviews on camatv and redline. I'm sure if I get it done from FAST it will be great as I have always had top notch service from Jeff but it would really help me to hear a few positive reviews (or negative ones but hopefully not) before I pull the trigger. Can anyone help me out? Thanks Here is my crank now... I know how you guys like to see carnage! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Wow! Thanks everyone that's amazing! I searched for 2 days straight trying to figure them out!
  10. First off I would like to say thanks to everyone for this forum, it has been a great asset to my Banshee addiction. Does anyone recognize these A-Arms? They came on a project banshee I just added to my collection and I am trying to find replacement ball joints. I have located replacements for the uppers which seem to be pretty common but the lowers are way different than the local shop or I have seen. The ball joints body is threaded into a ring that is welded onto the end of the lower a-arm. The only writing on the arms that I have found is on the boots (NOK 0-044). Here are some pics: Pics
  11. I would check your ignition coil. I battled a very similar problem for weeks because I had a coil that was just slightly out of spec. I really didn't suspect the coil though because the Clymer only talks about low end probs with a bad coil.
