  1. I actually just got the axle apart. Hubs are good, sprocket is decent. I can't seperate the brake rotor from the hub so I may need the hub as well as a straight rotor.
  2. I know, that's why I started this. Hoping someone in Canada might have what I'm after.
  3. I'm in need of a couple things and I'm hoping someone close to where I live can help me out. Rear brake rotor/hub (mine is bowl shaped) sprocket/hub (splines are worn, teeth could be better) I have a bunch more things I need too but money and priority of repairs keeps me from posting it all lol I may buy this if I have to but then I'm waiting like two weeks :S http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250640148036&fromMakeTrack=true&ssPageName=VIP:watchlink:top:en
  4. I'm contemplating using spray on rocker guard on mine. How I would do it: If the tires are mounted scotchbrite the wheels, wash, dry, mask off tires, 2-3 coats of primer, 4-6 light coats of the rocker guard. Done.
  5. Fix one thing, break another. Break something else fixing the first thing. I'm only 1 ride in on this thing YIKES!

  6. You still have the Complete Stock clutch basket for $75?
  7. How much for the rear sprocket and brake pads shipped to V4T 1J8?
  8. When you speak of right and left are you meaning as sitting on the quad or looking at it from the front?
  9. that's funny. I sold mine. Miss it a bit but priorities at the time were what they were. Between the jeep and now the quad my dirt-cravings are covered. Maybe if I came into some cash that didn't have plans I'd get back into it.
  10. lol, yah my name came from a few years back when I had an HPI savage rc.
  11. not really in a pinch, had to order a lock washer for the clutch basket. Just got off the phone with yamaha again and it's $15.99. Chick much have a speech impediment. Special order though so I have to go down there for to pay for it.
  12. I just called yamaha and told her what I wanted (not part number, description) and it was going to be $59.99 and on backorder :S Guess I should call back with a part number and see if that changes anything lol
  13. Like title, need a drive gear. My old one is cooked (no slots for the pin). Got all the melted plastic out of the bearing and it's within tolerance. Hoping someone has one for cheap help a guy out
  14. ok, took a couple pics. Nothing special. http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?app=gallery&module=user&user=36182&do=view_album&album=1390
  15. totally! Everyone I know has dirtbikes so they ride a different trail style then what a quad wants. I figured out my shift problem. Screw that retains the shift star backed out and jammed up. No damage other than the screw. New ones in with blue loctite. Shifts just fine. Pics are coming, still putting it back together.
  16. Funny you mention chain saws. I've got a dead power wheels jeep, a welder and a weed wacker motor that keeps taunting me to Frankenstein lol.
  17. Thanks. I'm in the okanagan. Westbank specifically or Glenrosa if you really know the area
  18. valid point. I'm going to look into an extended thumb before I consider swapping to twist. Thanks.
  19. one thing I learned is I hate thumb throttle. Man did my shit cramp up and fast. What's the downside to converting to a twist grip cuz I also had an incident where I was climbing a hill and my hand slipped off. Sucked balls. Didn't bail but I'd really be alot more comfortable with my thumb gripping the bar as well.
  20. thanks I'll look into that. So took it out last night and 35 minutes into our ride I lost the ability to shift gears. Got stuck in first and managed to limp her back to the trailer. Hoping it's something cheap and easy :-S pics to come ;-)
  21. thanks. Right now I'm just in cleaning and inspection mode. Have to set my idle speed. Even warmed up it'll die if I'm not on the throttle a little bit. I also snapped the head off one of the rear caliper pad retention bolts so I need to figure out if I can get it out and reuse the caliper or if I am stuck buying a different one. Bars are bent but I can live with that for now, might try to straighten them out. Need to beat my rear skidplate back out too as it's pushed up into the chain and brake rotor (which reminds me, rotor is warped to sh!t lol). Anyway, too broke to just start ordering parts so I'm going to take care o the freebie fixes that I can do in the garage while I wait for some coin and parts sources.
  22. So I bought a 99 shee yesterday for $1000. Needs some tlc but I'm pretty excited (and intimidated). First time quad owner, my last ride was a 90 cr125. Different worlds for sure. Haven't had it out yet but I did do a rip up the road and there is alot of power on tap. Gonna try to keep it tire side down lol. Anyway, glad this forum is here. Got alot of learning and tinkering to do. Cheers!
  23. Thanks for the welcome!
