  1. I think you are on my page. I also think that the cylinders have been decked. Thanks!
  2. LOL. Water. They are Banshee cylinders, bored, sleeved and bored to fit the blaster pistons. The engine bottom case is a banshee case, 2GU-009455.
  3. I'd like to first figure out what I have, before I go tearing it down to replace the rods. EDIT: The rods have "MADE IN JAPAN" on them, along with "2T2." A simple google search returned an RD400. So I went to Wiseco's page and looked up wrist pin bearings for an RD400. 16mm inside diameter, same as a Banshee/Blaster. 22.5mm long long, same. 20mm outside diameter, same as the connecting rod's on this bike. Has anyone ever heard of, or done it thereself, of putting RD400 rods in a Banshee?
  4. I measured the inside diameter of the connecting rod. It is 20mm. The outside diameter of the wrist pin bearing is 21mm. The spec listed for a blaster/banshee bearing is, 21mm.
  5. Pretty confident this is not the case. I have a set of cylinders and pistons with wrist pins and bearings that came DIRECTLY from a running banshee. So unless that banshee had the wrong rods, bearings etc, then I do not have the wrong bearings. Can someone point me in the direction of someone who knows about stroker kits?
  6. Well, I have I new set of Banshee bearings and one used set, which I just picked up from a banshee that ran, they are all the same size. Would the bearings be different if this is a stroke set up?
  7. I can beleive that. As I have 2 blaster wrist pins and 4 banshee wrist pins. They are all the same. I have 4 Banshee wrist pin bearings and 0 Blaster wrist pin bearings, So I can not verify if the bearings are the same or not. I can verify that none of the Banshee bearings fit into the connecting rod, but they do fit all of the wrist pins I have.
  8. Ok. First off this is post #1, I've searched around, but will admit I suck at searching. I currently have a project that a student brought into my shop a few weeks ago. It is an 1987 Banshee with some work done to it. I've got no clue whats been done to it. There is no paperwork history what so ever. His plan was to throw it back together with stock cylinders bored to 66.00mm. He purchased all the parts in brought everything in together. I went through the parts with him, measured the new cylinders, and started prepping to put it together......... When I discovered something odd. The wrist pin bearings are to large for the connecting rods.. So I had him bring in the pistons and cylinders that he took off. Which turned out to be bored, ported (heavily, looks pretty rough though), and had blaster pistons in them (67.50mm). So basically, I am not a Banshee guy. I've never kept up on all the different combinations and modifications you can do to them. So I am hoping someone can help me. Please feel free to ask any specific questions, and I will answer to the best of my ability.
