Thanks for the info. I was pretty sure everything was interchangable but I just wanted to confirm this before I wasted time painting things that weren't going to fit... My bad about the year mistake on my bike. I just picked it up a couple of weeks ago and was told it was a 91 by the previous owner. I couldn't confirm this because the frame had been previouslly sandblasted and painted and the vin number was no longer visiable. Thanks for clearing that up though!

Ok guys... I'm pretty new to Shee's so I figured I'd ask the masters for some advice... I recentlly bought a 91 Bansheee. The thing ran like a raped ape when I test rode her and started on the first kick. Ran it thru all the gears, checked compression, (140 in each hole) looked straight with the exception of the right front which was tweaked in a little. Needless to say I bought her for $1,300.00. I terrorized the neighborhood for a couple days, (no silencers) and all was good. Unfortunatlly the first time out wide open she destroyed a rod bearing, killed a cylinder, (already .100" over) wasted a piston and dome. Spark plugs were nice and chocolate brown so she didn't detonate and I was running 94 pump gas. Long story short the motor is now at F.A.S.T. being built into a mean 4 mill stroker. Getting to the point... I decided to upgrade to an A-Frame chasis while I was at it. I also got the complete A-Arm front suspension (minus the shocks) and newer style calipers. I plan on reusing everything else from my J-Frame chasis. Do you guys see any issues with this? Thanks in advance for the pointers!!!

Heres another one. Sorry about the typos in my last post. I just realize I can't edit them... Would have been perfect but that damn dent screwed me. I guess there is only so much you can sand away from the bottom of a beat up used skid plate... And by the way... I had about 15 hours of hand sanding into this ONE skid plate. I know tools would have made it go alot faster but I'm a cheap ass.

Being a beginner with limited tools I can say that polishing takes forever... and there id no way around that. However, I have had excellent results by hand. Like I said... it takes FOREVER but is well worth it when you see the end result. I've found out that 80 grit is a good starting point when you have deep scratches. I then follow it up by wetsanding with 120. Then wetsanding with 600. Thenwetsanding with 800. Followed by wetsanding with1500 and finishing with Mothers Aluminum Polish. It takes a long ass time but I'd be willing to bet that my work by hand looks as good as any machine...

First of all I would like to say hello to everyone... and thank whoever put this site together. Being releativly new to Banshees this site has been an invaluable tool to me and has answered many of my questions and concerns. I will not pretend to know everything about Banshees.... but I can say one thing with 100% confidence. Fastassbanshee did clock his bike at 91.3 miles per hour on GPS as I was there to witness it. I will not dispute the fact that gearing charts and math do not lie. Being an engineer by trade I fully realize the accuracy of mathamatical equasions and I am merely posting this to give validity to his claim. He made his run and showed me the speed. It said 91.3 mph. With that said I can not vouch for the accuracy of GPS. (Even though it pinpoints locations accuratlly from 1000's of miles away in space.) I can not say the wind didn't affect his reading. (It was kind of windy that day and I believe he was going with the wind that run.) I can not say his weight didn't have an affect. (He only weighs a buck thirty or so.) The only thing I can say is that's the speed the GPS showed... Anyways... this site rocks and I look forward to posting more as my build progresses Hope this helped you out Jon!!!

I think the baby blue theme is gay... and you are way over-doing the blue! And whoever is doing the polishing needs to spend more time on it. I can see the sanding lines from here... Just kidding dude... that thing is gonna look sick as hell! When you want to learn how to polish hit me up...Lmao
