  1. Need stock jugs and pistons.
  2. ill get some pics on tom and let ya know some more info. Thanks guys
  3. Seized up the right cylinder. Just got done tearing it down and it dont look pretty. The right piston is fried, left one looks alright yet. Lifters look good but not 100 percent sure. have to crack open the case yet. Never rebuilt any 2 stroke motors but I have some capable buddies w some good experience. So im thinking a piston kit, bore, gaskets, and while i have it torn down gonna look at the crank and bearings. What do you guys think someone could get that done for. Just started riding so it doesnt need to be seriously overbuilt. I want a solid machine when im done but kind of on a budget too. I paid 1200 for it and knew it would need some work. Or should i just cut my losses and try to get rid of it. It has pipes and aftermarket shock setup that were supposedly 8 or 9 hundred new w very few miles on them .
  4. spark plugs look good but are old. I bought the shee from a guy earlier this week and he had it sitting in storage for a few years. I brought it home and changed fluids and cleaned and checked the carbs. it looked like it had 200 or 220 main jets (bad lighting, couldnt really make it out). I live in south dakota w a elevation of 1500 and its about 40 to 50 out right now. everything is pretty much stock as far as the motor and carbs go as far as i can tell. Does this sound about right. Heading in to get new plugs and ill check for leaks. I will let ya guys know what i come up w. Thanks a lot. Im new to banshees, so im sure some of this sounds pretty amateur.
  5. I do not have any aftermarket for trade. Just bought this 89 earlier this week and its my first banshee so im short in the parts dept. Are you still willing to get rid of them for cash money.
  6. I had the quad idling and running fine. Took it for a 20 min ride and everything was running well. Towards the end it wanted to die, now it wont idle very well. When it does start it backfires i can keep it running with the throttle it just wont idle and backfires. i tried adjusting the idle on carb and it doesnt seem to respond. Im pretty new to riding so any suggestions would help. Thanks.
