  1. ok i will try my best to answer these question unknown @500 feet no it is not a stock head, the head doesn't use a head gasket it has o- rings and you use some sealer from toyota i have been told that the bike should have 11:1 compression. no check valve thanks
  2. i am working on a 96 banshee with a motor bore of 70 over . I have 3 questions 1. what should the compression be at, and is 110 on rideside and 115 left side too low? 2. what is a stock banshee compression?
  3. thank you i will try the jets a switch, with the plugs we know they are working because we switched the guts of the carbs around and the motor will fire and ideal on both side just not at the same time.
  4. Ok here we go. I am working on a friends 96 banshee that he just picked up from one of his friends. He knows the history of the bike it use to run on straight race fuel 110 octane, know we have converted it back to run 93 octane fuel. The bike is bored 70 over and the carbs are “hogged out” unknown to me is how big that is. FMF fatty pipes and the TORS and REV limiters are gone. The pilot jet was at 30 and the main is 290 the air screws are set at 2 turns out and needle jet set in the middle at 3, K&N filter with no box. All motor upgrades were done by a PRO. The bike use to run but they though it had a problem with the motor so they tore it apart and never was put back together so here is the problem 1. We can fire the bike by adding a little fuel in the cylinders but it will not stay running. We were told to bump up the pilot jet to a 32.5; we did with the same problem. Problem 2: Only 1 side of the motor with fire it seems to be getting fuel in the side that doesn’t fire. We were told to switch the slides in the carbs around thinking that the slides where placed in backwards. So we did that and know the side that was not firing is and the other side doesn’t fire. The side that fires is the side without the choke and it has been cold here in Washington and ideals good. I am looking for help I have been working on shees a while and never have seen only one side of the motor fire or switching slides around and the other side will work and the other don’t. Is this a jet problem or carb settings? thank you for the help
