  2. does the r-50 seperate in pump gas as bad as benol does? does it still have goop out the silencers?
  3. I am still trying to find a cheap fix to get rid of the twist throttle and back to thumb. I found out it has a pwk on it(not sure what size) I was told that a throttle cable from a yfz 450 will work. I haven't made it to dealer to put them side by side to see. Does anyone know if that will work? I know yfz cable is just a little bit longer.
  4. I just traded for an 01 shee and as i posted above i am brand new at the twin cylinder. i only owned one pinger with a power valve. I always ran everything at 32:1 and used klotz benol. I have been reading for days and talking to lube companies. I know blendzall is out ,hell it was gummy in a straight pinger engine. I have looked at benol as well and that is what the guy ran in it that i traded off of. i dont like the goop out the silencers. I want to know if anyone has ran the new bel-ray bio-bel h1r? I have talked and read about hundreds of people running 50:1 and even one running his shee at 80:1. how well does the new ester based oils work at such lean mixxes? thanks and i am very full from the big ass crow dinner i ate.
  5. I want to say sorry to everyone! I have been out of the 2-stroke engines for awhile. I thought i knew alot about them but i have been doing alot of reasearch and catching up. I even went to the local yammy dealer and he called my shee a v-twin. I learned on early machines and only had one pv motor before i got out of building and racing. I was the ass and i am sorry!
  6. Wtf is the banshee engine if not a v-twin? In yamaha's own description it says v-twin. That is why I don't belong to these forums because you get some smart ass that knows everything I was just giving advice. I didn't want to be made fun of.
  7. This is just my opinion here so take it or leave it. I have been running 2 strokes since back in the 80's. This will be my first with v-twin but in any suzuki or Honda 2stroke I ever ran or tore apart for someone you could tell if it was run at 32:1 or 40:1 or even leaner. The more oil the better the shape the engine was in. I wouldn't run any richer than 32:1... Gums stuff up fouls plugs. I would try running hotter plug first and if that don't fix it drop a jet.
  8. I am trading for a 2001 banshee and it has a 1/4 twist throttle on it. I want to go back to thumb throttle. The bike has pwk with trinity 2 into manifold. Anyone tell me if another throttle cable will work or do I have to order the one from trinity?
