As long as you get one from a reputable company, a cool head is a cool head. Make sure you install it correctly and you should have good luck, no matter the brand.

How bout this Slo, get a stock motor and put the pipe and carbs of your choice on it and dyno it. Then build the 4mil like you want with just lowering the port floors and widing the exhaust like you outlined, and go back to the dyno and post the results.
That would be too much like science for him. If you read some of his other threads you will see he prefers faith and tin foil hattery to science and facts.

I have Wicked's on mine. They are really well built with big, beefy ball joints. And the owner is a good guy to talk to on the phone.

hahaha... I'm gonna do a gator one soon.
I would love a dark purple gator one.

Have you tried a local dealer? Most dealers around me have lots of jets in stock for a couple of dollars each.

is 152 a big main for a PJ Keihin? i dont run em so i dont know
I have 172 mains in my 35 PWKs with VF3s, T5s, +4 timing and 21cc domes on ported stock cylinders at sea level. I don't know how PJs compare to PWKs though.

If one of your vent hoses is plugged, it will puke oil out the other one.

Its like sticking your head in an alligator's mouth. Possible, but very dangerous.

I wasn't sure where to put this. Figured this place would be appropriate.
Me and my family are going up to Oregon the 25th and will be there through the 4th of July. I think it's Dunefest there that week or something. Anyone going to Coos Bay around then?
Here is my question:
I live in California. My banshee was a graduation present I got 4 years ago. I lived in Georgia when I got it and I don't have a title or any registration for it. (I've been riding illegally, I'm a jackass I know) I tried to get an appointment with my local DMV to get it registered and everything but the earliest appointment is the 7th of July, after my trip. So my quad is unregistered with no title and no stickers.
Is there anything I can do or am I screwed? Is there a pass I can get in Oregon? Should I try to register it in Oregon when I get up there?
I really appreciate any help you guys can give me on this.
To get an Oregon OHV sticker all you need is the VIN off the frame as far as I know. I have the title for my Banshee, but i have never bothered to register it and have never had any problems.

If it's got tits or tires it will cost you money.

$300 sounds fine. I can Pay Pal you or just hand you cash.

I will give you $250 for them. I don't need them shipped. I live in Hillsboro so I can come pick them up if that's ok.

Those look nice. How much are you asking?

A better deal realy come on are you kidding me those prices are already cheap cash talks and bs walks this set up new would cost around 2 grand .As for the porting I am no expert and I cant remember what the guy told me ??
I'm interested in buying everything. Would I have to modify my cases for everything to work or will it bolt up to stock engine? Also, would shipping be any cheaper as a package deal?

I've had this happen to me. Check the rear vent hose....if it clogs, it'll blow oil out the front hose.
This was the problem. The rear vent was packed solid. Thanks for the help.

is the end of the line up higher? if not it will siphone the oil out basically. try that and let us know.
I checked it today and its coming from the vent line by the water pump. I will start running out of the vent after the engine runs for about 2-3 minutes. If i remove the oil fill plug it stops. The guy i bought it from (my first banshee, have only had it about a month) cut both the vent tubs off at about 3 inches long. I ran it up as high as i could and zip tied it to the clutch cable, so it is higher then the tranny now.
-
is it coming from your vent lines for the cases? or where exactly is it leaking?
Its entirely possible its coming from my vent hose and just running between my cylinders and onto the ground. I have a tendency to look for zebras instead of horses when I hear hoof beats.
I guess the new question is what would cause the vent hose to puke oil? It happened on the last morning of a 3 day dune trip. It was fine the previous 2 days and the fluid level was ok.
-
Are you sure it is gear oil? It could be 2 stoke oil from your pipes not sealing on the flanges on your cylinders, might need to replace the o rings in your pipes were they slide onto the cylinders.
Its definitely gear oil and its a pretty big leak. It created a 12 inch puddle in about 2 minutes.
-
My Banshee is leaking gear oil by the front motor mount right below the cylinders. What can cause this? Thanks.

Thanks to an "incident" I need a replacement stock headlight for a 92 banshee. Will buy a set if necessary.
Found what I needed.
