  1. This goes to the guy that rebuilt the motor in three hours, you are the man Ive been doing it for a long time and takes me three hrs to clean everything properly

what takes 3 hrs to clean? split the cases scrape the old yamabond off, give it a good wipedown and put it back together i dont see how it would take 3 hrs to clean it, but it wouldnt be the hq if there wasnt a few people who like to call bullshit on a simple statement that has nothing to do with them. for the retards who cant believe its capable of being done your more than welcome to come to ny with your blown up motor and ill show ya, other than that shut the fuck up. oh also ive been building 2 strokes for a long time too and i built 5 shees over the winter, its not hard at all

  2. Not to bust your balls BUT BULL SHIT!! The case mate has to sit for 24hrs to cure. So how were you riding in 3 hrs?

to the OP, did you put everything back in right, pull the clutch cover and see if maybe your nut on the clutch basket came loose, or maybe the nut on the crank itself. Hope like piss its not internal, look external before you split it again. Also did you do a leak down test before you started?

i dont give a fuck what you say bro, i dont let nothin sit for 24hrs to mate, slap it together and go never had any leaks and i been building 2 strokes since you were in dipers.

  3. i dont know what you guys are talkin about but i dont have much in my shee, its only 40 over with ported cylinders and fmf fattys and my buddys raptor 700 dont even come close, also have a buddy with a polaris predator 500 and a honda 450r and they all get smoked. not sure why honestly but my shee must have been a good one i guess. nothing comes close shit by 3rd gear on the shee them guys are eating the 2stroke smoke, lol. they are all impressed by this thing and i am a redneck with about 2500 into each shee i own, which is nothing compared to most of the bikes on here. i would have to thank the ported cylinders i guess. all in all id say it depends on your riding ability in the long run

  4. i would never put any gas in the back of the carbs to get it running, if it aint getting gas fuck with it and figure out why instead of wrecking a new motor, carbs are easy and take alot less time to fiddle with than a whole new motor that took two months to build for some reason. i just rebuilt one of my shees in under 3 hours i was riding again, including pulling the motor put in new crank and top end and put it all back in, why 2 months? i could understand if ya had to save the cash for the parts.... i just had alot of extras layin around the shop, lol. sorry bout your luck bro all ya can do is do it again but dont throat feed the carbs  oh with 20cc domes whats your compression? i would think you would need higher octane than 91, and 16:1 dont sound right either

  5. The bowls were only taken off one of a time, so they were put back on the way that I got them. Whats the difference? The crossover tube is in place. The choke jet is a good question, Ill look in the manual for that one. The jets were cleaned thoroughly.

the difference is there is a left bowl and a right bowl. the left bowl has the choke pickup tube with a jet in it.

  6. Any coolhead I put on a shee never leaked unless something was wrong. Are you sure no orings are twisted or shrank due to chemicals getting on them. I usually grease all orings and carefully place them flush where they need to be then tighten to spec in I criscross fashion.

x2, ive never had a cool head leak and i reused the o rings about 3 times never had a problem till i got drunk and pulled the head and lost one big o ring for the thing, just had to order a new o ring kit,lol

  7. Ok, about a year ago my brother passed away, and I was given a project banshee that he was in the middle of building. Only one problem, I dont know what he did to it and cannot find any paperwork or reciepts to help me out. I know the motor was built out of state but I do not know who did it. He was wanting make a stirctly drag banshee but lacked suspension upgrades. I am wanting to place the motor into an a-arm frame and use the quad as a performance dune banshee, sell the drag pipes that are on it now and run some inframe pipes, but I dont want to blow the motor by not knowing what fuel to run and all the info on it. Is that ANY way to get an idea of what was done to this motor by posting pictures for yall to look at or does it pretty much have to be broke down? Any help you can supply me with is greatly appreciaited. Thanks for you time.

sorry to hear about your brother. your gonna have to atleast do a compression test and see what ya come up with, pics will help to a certain extent but we gotta know your compression to give ya a good answer i go by this, 150psi or less i run 93 octane, over 150 i run 100 octane or 110 if its around. do a litte research on your motor and let us know how ya make out

  8. well if you have no experience with 4 wheelers looks like u got a great headache on the way, thats got to be the ugliest lookin thing ive ever seen! but hey good luck with whatever it is you want to do with it, if ya run into problems post them here and you will get the help your lookin for, the hq is the best site for banshee owners that you will find

  9. Might sound dumb but I don't see the long control arm looking engine mounts under my quad. Anyone got a pic of underneath where they go? Why would they not be there?

they wouldnt be there cause somebody took them off, they should go in the 2 empty holes in the bottom of the case

  10. I have itp rims with Pretty new sand paddles. I'm new to the quad scene, but my holeshots on the back are real big, so I'm looking for a stock sized tire. I'm willing to trade the sand paddles and the itp rims they're on for just rear tires in good condition. I'd also throw in the bigger holeshots, but Id need your tires first so there's no down time. I'll get some pictures up when I get on my laptop.

i have an extra set of rears on the gold stock rims, they are pure sport bandits 20/11/9 ill trade ya, pm me some pics but ill have to receive your tires b4 i send mine out since you have such few posts and i dont know ya

  11. well what else is there to say? its been said but that looks sick as hell, i got the same grille and tail light cover, how did ya get the red eyes mounted on the fox grill? i got some tiny red leds i was thinkin about doin the same thing with! i just need to come up with a good way to keep them in place as i do alot of trail riding and big jumps in the gravel pit with some hard landings at times, lol let me know how ya got them mounted will ya

  12. dam guys that sucks, no disrespect but why the fuck would ya leave that kind of stuff where some dick can grab it and bounce? was it locked in the truck or just sittin in the back? i hope ya guys catch up with the low life peice of shit who took it.

  13. Just wondering if you guys think I should try to polish these silencers or sand em down and paint them flat black. pipes are flat black now and I have never polished anything before and do not know the first thing about it but it's never to late to learn in my opinion.

    silencer.jpg

i'd try to polish them first, but i also have never tryed polishing although it cant be too hard. ask around a little longer before painting them some guys on here can give ya some great tips on polishing, ive read threads b4 on it but dont recall how to do it

  15. ok so when i was changing jets i noticed that the left carb has a brass tube comming out the bottom of the carb and the right only has the one attached to the bowl ... so is the right supposed to have one too?

no, thats the choke pick-up, should only be on the left side cause thats where the choke is

  16. Thanks for that picture MattSCESC, I like the look. Looks tough and the good news is I still have my black stockers to switch if I want a change. I figure to have new carbon fiber looking plastics that I didn't pay much for is cool. I like having options.

why dont ya sell me them black stockers, since ya like them craptor look alikes. if ya wanna get rid of the black stockers ill take em pm me if ya want to sell them, i got white stockers ill throw ya with some cash. ha they even got the hq stickers on them that makes them worth 100$ more right there.lol
