Thanks for the info, very conclusive haha so what happens when you run too little oil? Will I need to pick up new jugs or even heads? Im hoping I can just hone or bore the cylinders and go with new pistons. Also, it doesnt have any mods on it and its an 03.

A kid from my auto tech class has a Banshee for sale and said it's blown up. He told me it was from putting 91 octane then a whole bottle of octane booster in one tank of gas. Not positive on this but shouldnt doing that not hurt anything unless he didnt compensate enough oil for the amount of octane in it? So what do you guys think is wrong with it? He wants 400 bucks for it and i'm thinkin about buying it to rebuild and have a good cheap bike. Also, he said the bottom end does turn over when you kick it. Thanks, Eric.

Would you want to trade for a 2 stroke dirt bike that runs like a 4 stroke? KDX 220, its got a ton of low end and its compared to the wr yamahas.

Will someone please get this off my hands. Is my price to high or somethin? I know its a fairly rare bike, I want a fourwheeler again. haha

Hello, I have a 2000 kdx 220 2 stroke trail bike for sale. Its in a great shape for 2000. The only ding I can spot is a couple dings on the head pipe. I just put a new fuel line on it, rebuilt the fuel petcock, new tail light bulb, powermadd handguards instead of the goofy lookin stock ones, skid plate and bought new grips. Havent put either of them on yet. Also put a new rear tire on it, digs really well. Good fast trail bike. The suspension is nice and plush for the trails and its still fast. 75+ according to my friends dual sport speedometer. 2000 obo also would like to trade for a banshee or a yfz or a whatever you have to offer. Wow, both of those bikes look amazing with purple frames! I thought how purple everything would look and ya that would look terrible. It would blend wat too much. Now im down to black or silver accesories. Im thinkin silver so it would really come out against the darker colors. I went through alot of work to get my raptor 250 with all silver stuff instead of black.

Ya im for sure bout the purple frame i think that would look amazing. I like the look of the carbon fiber plastics, I dont know if they make real carbon fiber plastics or not. Now im down to wheel and nerf bar colors. Should I match them with the frame of do silver? I looked up dark plum and thats not quite the shade im lookin for. How would metallic look?

I have the motor part of my build figured out now for the looks. Im thinkin about doin a purple frame and black carbon look plastics from maier. How do you guys think that would look? Im having alot of trouble tryin to figure out what shade of purple to do. If anyone has picks with that color combo please post them.

Haha, im deffinetly goin with this set up, and I wouldnt want shearers because I have a history of making bikes bog down in the mud

Ya im with you, I dont give a care about a low end, some mid range is nice but top end is amazing. The 4 mil build with cpis and dune port sounds like a wicked set up. I can hopefully beat my friends yfz and shut em up lol.

I know for sure im gonna do the cool heads. My friends uncle came and rode a shee with a stock head and it over heated after about 30 mins trail ridin.

That was extremely helpful thank you, the cpis with stock porting with a cool head then strokin it when i get more power hungry sounds like the way to go. I only way 140 so I would be able to get a good of mid and top with a dune port right?

That was a very handy tid bit of information, do you have to custom make the domes or can you buy them?

4 mil sounds like a great set up, ive been talkin to wildcard and sounds like you have to have a heck of alot of other stuff done along with strokin it.

It sounds like cpis and a dune port sounds like the way to go, im gonna dune with it, fast trail ride, and just playin around in mud. How much would strokin it take away on top end?

Right now the bikes just stock, im glad you told me about the disadvantages of shearers. I was looking at shearers because ive heard good stuff about there top end on here. Now which would have more top end, cpis or t5s? I based liking top end off of my friends yfz if that helps at all.

Thanks for all the help, it sounds like you gotta have a good bit of money into your quad to run a cub. What should I tell a machinist if I want the drag porting?

Ive been looking around on here and the Sheaers look like the pipes I want, I love crazy top end. I dont 100% know what porting is right now, is it with the head or the cylinders? What porting should I have done with those pipes?

Im lookin at gettin a banshee for my next bike, I dont know a whole lot about 2 strokes but I know stock is a bad word. Ive heard good stuff about rocket pipes, shearers, toomeys, and cpis. Now what do you guys think is the best? I already have a trail bike so it will be for everything except that, I think a powerful topend would be better for dunes, motorcross etc. Please share opinions.
