Thanks for the tips. I replaced seals with OEM but the top end gaskets didn't seem quite as susceptible to problems. OEM top end gaskets are priced ridiculously .

Where is the best source for new gaskets and what brand is your favorite? Top end and/or full set. Thanks

Just completed a purchase with JD and all went smooth. Quick response to PM's. Parts were as described and arrived timely(as timely as USPS can be I suppose )..........................and yes a well packaged set of pistons/cylinders.

Thanks for the tips you guys............I will evaluate when I get these two motors torn down. One of the engines probably only has a few hundred hours on it.....the other many more hours, like 10 more years of hours..LOL

Need a couple sets of complete gasket and seal kit... Which brands are the preferred ones used by most here....and where is the best deal for them? thanks
