  1. Hey guys I need some help. I was inspecting my rear brakes the other day and noticed that my block of plate is missing and so are the screws that hold it on. Is it ok to ride without this? Does anyone know what size the bolts are supposed to be? I have another plate but I do not have the hardware. Also one of the bolts that holds the disc on is missing. Anyone happen to know the size of that one. I am leaving for the dunes in a few days and do not have time to wait for the yamaha shop to get them in. Thanks for the help.
  2. I need an upper a-arm, right side. How much shipped to 76031?
  3. I have heard they would stick from time to time from sitting for a while but I was riding it around changed the tires and then it started doing that. I just thought that it was strange that it all of the sudden did it, and i just did a rebuild and put new oil in less than 1 hour worth of riding time ago. Is it common for them to do that when they have not been sitting?
  4. when I start it in nuetral and shift into gear it just lunges foward and dies. If I hold the clutch in and try to kick it in first it just jumps foward. Also I cant hold the clutch in and push it when it is in gear. I thought maybe the coolant leaking in would cause the plates to stick together but I really dont know much about clutches. What do you think?
  5. is it usually that seal? Could it be a crank seal or do those really ever go bad? Thanks for your help.
  6. My clutch is not working. The clutch feels good pulling it and is adjusted right but it wont engage at all. I drained the oil and it looked really grey and milky. Could this be coolant leaking into the clutch cover causing this failure? What seal going to need to be replaced? I talked about this in an earlier post and was told it could be my clutch basket but I forgot to mention the color of the oil.
  7. I did notice that the transmission fluid looked really grey and milky and new oil was put in less than 30 minutes of riding ago. Is it possible that I am leaking coolant into the clutch cover? Would that cause the symptoms that I described? What is the fix for this if it is the problem?
  8. thanks a lot. I hope I can pick one of those up at one of the local shops there. I know that nobody around me would have one. Do I need to take an impact with me so I can get the basket off and put a new one on?
  9. thanks. which part is the basket? The inner clutch hub or clutch boss and the outer pressure plate are both new is it the largest part that everything is in? sorry not familiar with the proper names for everything.
  10. I started my bike today rode it around the house and then pulled it into the shop to change the tires. I tried to start it again to load it into the trailer and the clutch wouldnt work. The clutch feels fine but as soon as I drop it into gear it lunges foward and dies as if I werent holding it in. If I try and start it in 1st with the clutch in it just jumps foward when I kick it. I pulled off the cover and adjusted it and reinstalled all the plates to make sure they were in right. when I pull the clutch the outer plate seperates from the basket and it appears that it all seems to be working but when I put it in gear and hold the clutch and try and push it wont go. I cant figure it out. Please someone tell me what to do because I am leaving in the morning for the dunes and it would be nice to go with a running bike. Any ideas?????

  12. I ordered some new plugs. so I should get between 5000 to 15000 and it should not move around at all. I had a good connection and a good tester with new batteries. The tester also zero'ed out.
  13. Thanks, I did already look at that though and it didnt say anything about just testing the caps. Should I just put every cap on and test it that way or is there a specific ohm a cap should test by itself?
  14. I have no spark, so I took the coil off and tested it. I also had an extra set of caps laying around and I dont know which is bad and which is good. One cap tests nothing at all, one tests around 131.1 k, one test 21-32 M, and one test 14-15.6 M. I dont know what the M and K stand for it is a digital ohm tester and thats what it says. The numbers jump all over the place. I dont know which to scrap and what to keep. Someone help please.
