  1. took apart carb and cleaned everything with carb cleaner. It has a 30 pilot jet in it and went up to a 35 with no luck. the airscrew dont seem to have any affect on the problem either. Ive done a leak down and it held 4 psi for 20 min.
  2. My wife has a 2001 blaster and ever since I bought it I've this problem. First off, its hard as hell to start if its been sitting for any amount time. Second, when I do get it started it runs and idles fine until I give it a little gas and when I let of the throttle it takes forever to idle down. besides this problem it runs fine, has 120 compression, passed a leak down, I've tried changing the jetting and still the same deal. the engine is completely stock with the tors removed, new stock carb, fmf power core pipe, and k&n filter. Ive also tested the electrical and the only thing that's not to spec is the ignition coil but I think that may be due to the meter I'm using any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  3. I think I let it sit too long and all the oil in the premix settled. The comp hasnt changed at all. the plugs were just black and burnt looking. It does idle but its not were it was, its idling a little lower now. If I did stick a ring U think its bad to run it, or is it an easy fix?

  5. I have a 02 Banshee, took it for a short ride and it just stopped running. When I got back to the garage I pulled the plugs (which were kinda burnt looking) and did a comp test. With 125 on each cylinder, oil level fine, temp only 150, I drained my gas tank and noticed NO color in the gas. I then put fresh 32-1 premix in and started kicking. On about the 10th kick shee started up but doesn't idle like it should and is now making a ticking noise. Please help, what did I F#$% up!

  7. kinda blue i think i didnt let it run long, smelled like oil. was think white and smelled like something burning when it died. what should my jetting be? im at sea level fmf gold series pipes and k&n air filter. I have dynojet stage 3 with 340 main right now.

I was riding down a dirt road this weekend in 6th gear and all of a sudden i lost all power and shee started smoking like crazy even after I shut it off. the engine got super hot I even charred the outside of one of my pipes. Ive done a comp. test and both cylinders are @ 125. there's only about 5 hrs on new top end. I tried starting it today it starts but smokes more than normal. coolant level is fine, oil seems good pulled the plugs and the are wet with oil but still white. what the deal?
