  1. yeah, that was my only reason for not buying one before. There's another upgrade to put on the list of things to do. lol [
  2. lol, thanks for the input tho, I appreciate it. Nice banshee!!
  3. Yeah, I actually thought about putting a metal one in there from them, but decided to put a plastic one because I though maybe the plastic one would act as a fail safe. Know what I mean. I have been looking into the metal one still tho.
  4. Thanks Gentlemen for all the help. I got it fixed finally. My cousin pulled it apart and all it was was the water pump. The plastic gear on the end of the water pump impellar kinda broke... It sent plastic shrapnel into the bearing that's on the water pump shafter. The water pump had a crack in it as well. He pulled the plastic out of the bearing and it spun freely. I bought a new gear for it, and put an aftermarket metal impellar back in it and put a new clutch and water pump gasket on it. Now it's back to irritating the neighbors. lol Thanks for the help guys, I'm sorry it took a while to get it fixed, but I wanted to post what was wrong with it in case some else had the same problem. Oh, and after I last posted, it started making the noise in all gears, including neutral with or without the clutch pulled in. Thanks again. Brian
  5. I believe the problem lies in the transmission. The sound happens when sitting still, as long as the 'shee is running. The sound stops when the clutch lever is pulled. When the cluctch lever is pulled, the tranny gears are no longer engaged, which leads me to believe that it is some sort of bearing in the transmission. Does anyone have any pics of the insides of the banshee's tranny?? Thanks
  6. If it was the shift forks, wouldn't it cause me to have actual shifting problems? Thank You for your help.
  7. It was a popping noise... After further inspection, it sounds like a bearing in the tranny has went out... I don't know what else it could be. I fired it up again last night and it made noise in every gear. But the feeling of the clutch and and actual engaging of the gears wasn't any different. The noise would go away when I pulled the clutch in, so it leads me to believe that it's a bearing in the tranny. I don't know much about these, but it looks like I've got a job ahead of me. As far as the engine is concerned, it is running great, as always.
  8. Good Afternoon Gentlemen, I new to the ATV world, but acquired an 01 Banshee a few months back. I decided to get rid of my crotch rocket and find something that I could play on a little more. Anyways, the banshee has been great and very reliable, but made a noise that concerned me coming back from a meeting I had on Sunday. I back roaded about 20 miles to the meeting, and all was great, until I was on my way home. I was flying down a dirt road in 6th gear when I heard a pop. 6th was still pulling fine, but now has a chattering (for lack of better words) noise in it. It is also doing it in 1st gear. Luckily it got me home, I kept it in 2nd-5th and was fine. I put it in 6th and 1st a few times to see if the chatter was still there. I don't power shift, I always use the clutch (i'm afraid of tearing it up) and I've no other problems from my banshee. And for the record both seem to be pulling fine, what little I've checked it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've searched, and decided to register since I couldn't find an answer. Thanks for the help. Brian
  9. I get about 20 mpg out of mine. I don't believe that is to bad. And my banshee does outrun my friends 700 raptor with GYTR exhaust and power commander.. I have a single carb on mine, Trinity 2into1
