  1. Any chance you'd do 150 shipped to 49837 for the good crank and the cylinders? Can pay paypal.
  2. MIght be interested in the crank. Wondering how much shipped to the Upper Peninsula 49837?
  3. John, As soon as I get the money together I'll give you a holler to see if you still have them. Thanks
  4. I picked up some yfz450 shocks for cheap. My understanding is the swap works best if you do the whole front end of the yfz. So, I'm looking for a-arms, spindles, tie rods from a yfz450.
  5. Wiseco 795M06500
  6. everything was good.
  7. Just broke in my new motor. 4mil long rod crank, Wiseco pistons, trail / dune port, fast head with 21mm domes, adjustable timing plate +4, 34 pk's 152 mains, pro circuits. I broke this motor in real nice and easy. Had at least 5 hours on the motor when this happened. Finally started to get on a little bit, not holding it wide open or anything, but hitting the trail pretty hard. About 10 miles down the trail I locked up a piston. Made a mess of the cylinder. Must have got really hot. was all messed up around the outside of the piston. Thought maybe there was a blocked main jet, they were clean. the other cylinder looks perfect like I just put it in. The top of the cylinders look brand new. It only happened on the one side. The bike really hauled ass until this happened. Would like an idea of how to prevent from happening again. Was thinking maybe of going a few thousandths over on the new bore with a new Wiseco. Any help would be appreciated.
  8. Looking for a set of stock shocks front and rear with white or blue springs in good shape.
  9. The motor I'm buying is complete minus the crank. $200 and the cylinders came with it, so I figured what the heck for that price. Thanks for the help with the info. I figured it wouldn't be anything like Jeff's. Anything short of strapping a rocket to my ass and being put in orbit would fall short of the engine he did for me. To say it's Fast isn't doing it justice.
  10. So, the cylinders are really just cleaned up then and that's it?
  11. So, I'm picking up an extra motor this week for my shee. The motor is complete and just needs a crank and flywheel. The cylinders are ported with a stage 1 port. Right now on my banshee I've got a motor done by Jeff at Fast Racing. The cylinders are play/dune ported with a +4 long rod crank. I'm wondering what to expect out of the stage 1 port. What's the difference between stage 1, 2, 3, and 4?
  12. Interested in a transmission. Everything included? What year bike did it come out of?
  13. Few buddie and I have banshees her in the UP in Gladstone (Escanaba) on Lake Michigan. A lot of local rides and trails here. At least one group every weekend to go with. Got a big ride on Sat. with a hundred plus bikes/UTV's. Few other places I've been to in the UP that was nice was all the way up to Copper Harbor and Drummond Island. Very ATV friendly area.
  14. I'm up here in Gladstone, MI in the UP. Lots of places to ride here and a lot of guys riding. We're aloud to run the shoulders of the roads and a lot of forest land roads. Plenty of places to rip here !
  15. I just bought my first Banshee. I always wanted one and finally picked one up. I bought it for 1200.00. The bike I bought was rough, but I bought it with the intentions of going through the whole thing. I mostly do trail riding with an occasional drag race down the road against buddies. My banshee has stock carbs and PC pipes if that helps. I got a buddy who really knows his way around these things and also has a banshee. He's running a stock (motor) banshee right now also. I feel very confident in having him do the work. He is also a trained (certified) motorcycle mechanic. 2 things I know I would really like to get are is porting/bored (trail port) and a 4mm crank (long rod). I'd really want the porting done by someone who is a reputable shop. After that I'm kinda lost. Right now the cylinders are bored .20 over. I want to go as little as possible on reboring. I would like to get as much life out of these cylinders. Not sure if I should go with the spacer plate or a cool head. Not really sure what pistons would work best for this setup either. I guess what would be really helpful if someone could suggest a reputable shop or dealer that could put a package together for me of exactly what I need. I thought of trying to piece it together through ebay, but really would like someone with customer service and who is more reputable. Any suggestions? I've heard of trinity, herrs, etc... Just wondering what others opinions are?
  16. Guys, I really appreciate the help. Obviously, I'm new to this so I need all the help I can get. After reading these posts I'm convinced I should just rebuild from top to bottom with a 4mm, ported heads, cool head, etc... I have all winter to rebuild right. Like all of you, got the need for a badass ride! Any advice on exact setups would be great and thanks again.
  17. I was under the impression the porting will take away some of the reliability of the machine?
  18. Thank you very much for the input. The animation was good to see! I really don't want to port the cylinders so I'll probably go with the short rod crank. I'm thinking that a long rod with porting may be a little much for the riding I do. I mostly ride trails in the upper peninsula of MI. No dunes here. I'm curious what might be the best set up with the short rod would be. The cylinders I have will have to be rebored, they are currently at 20 over.
  19. I'm doing a rebuild on my banshee, I'm looking at bumping up to a 4mm stroker crank. I'm finding Short Rod Cranks and Long Rod Cranks. Is their an advantage to either one? Does the Long Rod Crank take a special type of piston? Thanks for the help in advance,
