Hey everyone, I just picked up a 1994 Banshee last night. It was just barely running when I got it, and after taking it for a quick drive when I got it home, it lost spark. I checked the coil and it was just out of spec so I replaced it. There was still no spark. The coils on the stator checked out, but I took off the flywheel and found that the woodruff key had sheered off. I replaced the woodruff key, and started the Banshee up on the third kick. I had left the stator cover off, and when it was running, it was arcing like crazy by the pickup. Is it normal to see electric arcs by the pickup? I've run my Blaster without the Stator cover before and have never noticed any sparks. There was also some smoke coming from around the stator area. As soon as I saw this I shut it down and haven't started it back up. Everything else seemed fine while it was running though. It revved fine and there was no odd pinging/knocking/squeals coming from anything.
If anyone has any insight, it would be greatly appreciated!
