Hi i have a 1994 banshee and when it gets to near the top end of the rev limit it starts spluttering. does anyone know whats up????

Im thinking about painting my plastics but i race my banshee and was just wondering if anybody knows what type of paint to use so the paint doesnt crack or flake off.....
