I ride with the lid on I get into some pretty swampy shit I will look into that thank you. I am going to complete go through the carbs again tonight and double check everything make sure the float are accurate and readjust the needles again cause now it running rich again. Man these carbs have given me a hell of ride they are never happy.

Hello everyone, I need some help with jetting I have been having problems with these carbs for quite some time. First off I have 2001 banshee it has bill pipes, which I will probably be upgrading to the trinity stage iv or whatever it is. I also have a k&n air filter , boyson reeds, and the heads are shaved. I live in tampa Florida where it basically at sea level and stays hot almost year around. I want to just Redue them completely needles springs jets everything. They have been giving me trouble for quite some time. So I think its time to completely Redue them. So I am wondering what is the best kit for this bike with the type of environment that I ride in. If anyone can let me know I would greatly appreciate it.

Hello all i have a 2001 banshee and I want to upgrade the suspension on but i am not what would be best for the enviroment i ride in I know alot of people use the yfz 450 setup but i have not seen or rode any banshee that have had this done so i dont really know what it is like. I am looking for something that will me haul as through the woops kinda of like a dirt bike or something. The enviroment i ride in shit is really ruff and i get thrown around like a rag doll. There is usually alot of mud and the woops are relentless. If anyone has any sugestions please let me know i would greatly appreciate it.

i ran compressed air through them and carb cleaner from the bottle as well as soaking them. i mean it has got a little colder its florida the weather is up and down all oer the place but today it was a little cooler thank usual but not much

the plugs i put in are new and gaped at .032 i was fauling them like crazy but i rode it today around the neighborhood to see how it was running it ran great but it will not run a like a idle speed you can hear it starting to break up it only wants to go go go and it really only breaking up on one side. and now the gas in my air box i am not about that yet. how do i check the stator

And now i just noticed that air is getting into my air box doesnt that mean my floats are off

i have a 2001 yamaha banshee i have bills pipes a after market air box boysen carben fiber reeds and the heads are shaved. my carbs started to act funny a little while ago first it was barly noticeable but then it got to the point were i just sucked bad i rebuilt the carbs put brand new float in them i reused the same jets because they were after market i just soked them carb cleaner over night. after i re built them and put new reeds into it was still doing the same thing running rick and spitting. I cheaked the compression its fine i check nthe top end its fine change the head gasket. the carbs are sync good but i have the pilot screw at 1 1/2 turns out and the more i play with it the worst it gets i done know what the deal is with then sometimes it seems like its running lean. i cant figure it out. but the bike runs great only when you are running it hard none stop if anyone has any ideas about the adjusting the pilot screw or any other ideas please let me know

Ya i check that the resivor loses some but it doesnt fill back up. so i am deff losing it and it it is going into my radiator it is full. i was just think i will buy the gasket pack with all the gaskets to the bike and start with the head gasket. do you think if the coolant was leaking onto the top of my pistons it would cause it to back fire. thank you though for your input i will let you know what happens

i have a 2001 banshee i got just a couple of months ago so i am still trying to figure everything out on it. ever since i got it it seemd to loose a little coolant out of the resovar but i just thought it's florida its hot its probably just burning off. as time went on i am loosing more and more. i checked the crank case oil not there their are no visible leaks around the engine or on any of the hoses. It is weird is it possible for it to be leaking onto the top of the pistons but not making it down into my lower end and i am just burning it off when riding it. I am just going to buy a gasket kit and start with the head gasket and work from there. it does blow a little bit off smoke but only when i just start it up but i am not sure if its just oil jeft over on the top of the spark plug or what . But if anyone has any ideas please let me know i would greatly appreciate it

I can not figure out what is wrong with her i was fauling plugs and the carbs kept getting stuck i clean them like three times but it still was running like shit so i rebuilt the carbs new float everything beside my jets i just cleaned them because they are aftermarket so now when you start the bike it doesnt want to stay going it spits and backfires but if i take it for a ride it runs fast but you have to keep riding the shit out of it cant just cruse or it starts to bogg and spit. if anyone has any ideas of something i missed or what ever let me know please and i adjusted the floats to sit at about a 45 degree angle but i am not sure if thats right please let me know.

thanks for the reply the carbs are synched and it idles fine i mean she run fast no problem but it wont just cruise at like a steady speed i got keep pinning it. i not sure about those sizes though i will have to cheack it new to me i havent been able to figure everything out yet but i completely overhauled the carbs new jets floats everything cause they keep loading up it mad it much better but still doiing what i said just a little.

my banshee runs fine but when i just try to cruise it will start to bog down and seems like its loading up on fuel i adjusted the floats but i am really not sure if that is the problem if anyone has any ideas let me know

the coolant in my banshee is disapearing and i know it doesnt just do that i dont see it in my gear oil i cant smell it but the oil is looks a little dirty but cant really tell anyone have any ideas maybe just running to hot and burning it off maybe
