  1. I think I definitly need to go to a bigger pilot jet for sure! It actually runs half way decent with it turned about a 1/4 way out what do you guys recommend for my pilot size I have a 27.5 now should I step up to a 30? and is the plastic piece that slides over the main jet nesacary I was thinking about removing mine if there not needed
  2. im using stock needles which I just raised it up one notch and go pilot jets im using a 27.5 and main jet Im using a 320. ran it and Im still a little lean so Im going to jump up to a 340 main and see how that works out and Im running pods on my setup I ditched the stock air box. the only thing is its a bear to start Even choked I have to take off a pod and stick my hand over the carb to get it popping, as soon as it warms up it starts right up, what the deal with this? And who make aftermarket needles and are they better than stock?

I have a HJR 4 mill stroker I just built, NOSS head that has pump/race gas 21cc domes, Ported cylinders by Kevin dont know what port job I think it might be MX but also ported for T5's, Chariot reeds with Chariot billet intake with built in crossover, and my timing set at 4 degrees, and toomey T5 pipes. What jets do you recommend for stock carbs with the tors removed on this setup? MY elevation is around 850 ft.

  8. alright now that that's settled whats a good clutch basket to go with are the magnums that f.a.s.t sells any good or should i go with like a wiseco or hinson?
  9. Is the stock clutch basket suppose to move back and forth if you hold the primary gear and grab the basket and spin it back and forth, if so how much movement is considered fine? Im putting together a 4 mill and I dont want the basket to gernade, thanks guys
  10. I just picked up some Chariot reeds and was wondering if I need to run the reed stops off of the old reeds or do I not use them with these cages?

I dont know what the dissplacement going to be when I tore apart the motor it had WSM pistons in it and I couldnt read the number on the piston, and for riding I live about to 2 hours from the badlands so Ill visit there a couple times but mostly I live on a lake so Ill be ripping up the ice for sure, and take it to the mx track, so pretty much all aorund riding I guess. It actually melted a lower rod bearing thats why I took it apart what could of done this so it wont happen with my new setup.

What carbs do you guys recommend using with a 4mill setup, I sent out my cylinders to HJR to get there 4mill setup Im going to be running a cool head with 4mill cut domes for 93 pump gas, and Im think he going to do the mx porting on it not sure cause he hasnt recived them yet. I want to run Toomeys T5, unless he suggest something different. Is there anything else I should change while having the lower end apart I already ordered the pro design aluminum impeller. What about an adjustable stator plate would that work with the 4mill. Thanks for all the help
  14. THANKS FOR ALL THE INFO!!!!! OK I think I understand this lol, to run a 4mill long rod crank its basically the same as the 4 mill but it uses the long rods to reduce angle for more reliability, and to do this I still need to port for the 4 mill and use the 795 pistons for the long rods. Is there any performance gain using just a long rod crank compared to stock or is just for reliability.
  15. So with a long rod do I still need to run a spacer plate or do the 795 pistons take care of that? do I also need to port for the long rod, like I do for the 4 mill? sorry im new at this
  16. Hey guys im new here and was looking around this site and its badass more info here than I knew existed. I just picked up a 2000 banshee with a smoked crank for $200.00 off a friend who needed $$$, and was wondering what options are out there for these motors, I was looking at hotrods 4mil stroker cranks, but what is all involved in building a stroker. Who makes a good crank Hotrod, trinity, vito etc. And is there a difference in a 5mil long rod 4mil crank, and a 4mil crank, if that makes any sence lol. I got some money to spend on this but dont want to break the bank either. any info would be helpful
