Wow this forum is amazing! Lol you guys are awesome. Thanks for such imformative responses. Alf- I might have to hit you up over the winter for some parts! I'm doin a complete rebuild so I'll need some bling! Lol Dajo- I like bowls but I'd have to say I'm a captain crazy. I've had to bail on the yfz on a 90 footer before and that wasn't pretty haha. I'm definately gonna look into the parts you recommended. I was thinking really wide and good suspension up front and in the rear having an extra short "mx" setup from the swingarm back that I can swap out fairly quickly. I don't need it to be amazing at the track as it wouldn't be raced there cuz of the 450 but more-so something I can take to the track and just screw around with. But I am gonna be on the dunes too so I might just have to build a top notch duner! Lol Rubberneck- thanks for the heads up on the crank. I'm gonna build the internals as soon as the stock top end goes again and I'll definitely get the parts you recommended! thanks again guys I appreciate all the responses! -nick-

Thanks for the quick replys guys. Yeah I do alot of motocross but that's what my long travel yfz is for haha. I do want it to be good at the track but then be able to switch the swingarm and tires and have a dune quad. Is that possible? I guess I'm lookin for an all around performer. It was just freshly rebuilt and has a k&n filter, toomey t5's, durablue +2 axle and wide offset Douglas rims.

Hey guys I'm new to the forum but not new to quads. I've owned just about every sport quad on the market, some models two or three of em. My dad owns a motocross track and I've been riding for about 12 years. I just picked up a 96 banshee for 900 bucks and I'm gonna completely strip it. It's in perfect mechanical condition but just needs cosmetic upgrades. My plan is to powdercoat many of the parts. My question is what would you guys recommend as far as upgrades and mods while I have it all torn apart? Any must-do mods? Thanks guys ahead of time.
