  1. Alright, so this is when i was 14 years old, im 15 now. Before i had my banshee, i road an 03 YZ250 and also had a 1999 YZ80. My friend used to love riding the little 80 around so this one day we decide to go out on this dirt road and ride around a bit. We do some good riding then are heading back down the road and right as i come around this corner over a hill i see a cop car. The cop sticks his hand out the window and motions for me to pull over, so i think about it for about a split second then i crack on it and im gone lol. Left my buddy in the dust figuring he'll have enough common sense to run to. i pull in this little sand pit and hide in the bush for about 10 minutes then head back to my house. I put the bike behind the garage and head inside and the cop pulls in my driveway. Turns out my pal on the 80 stopped for the cop and told him where i live. The cop just gave me a tap on the wrists and left, said if you see my again, don't run, lol suuuuuureee. The cop said when i cracked on the bike all he saw was dust and heard rocks hitting his car. I was surprise he only gave me a warning. Then i had to go walk to my friends house and get my 80 back and he tried to say that he couldnt make it around the cop car and that his mom told him where i live. Well that was the last time i let my friend ride my YZ80. Now i have my banshee for outrunning cops, and i only ride with people who are going to run to....
  2. Well, if you don't mind your bike looking goofy i run 23 inch rear mud lights and 23 inch goodyear fronts. It works really good, you have alot of clearance for ruts, rocks and mud. It just looks retarded. Im going down to some 20s in rear and 21s in the front though, just because i can't stand the look.
  3. Well its not exactly stock, just stock pipes, its really surprising a mechanic used to own it and he screwed around with it alot, and it works great. Pulls on my Dads YZ250 and takes him on top end really easy. Im only around 2 bike lengths behind him at all time until 5th Its got some intake and exhaust porting and a shaved head plus its bored out .10 I think. It just has stock pipes and im working on buying some
  4. Even over 70 MPH on pavement with knobbies is fucking scary the thing just floats
  5. Stock is around 8600RPM i think with the mods in your sig your revving to 9000 for sure
  6. Same chart i used lol, things amazingly usefull
  7. With 14/39 gearing and 20 inch tires its impossible unless your cub revved to 11,000 RPM
  8. Stock vs stock the raptor wins, but i have seen a 05 Banshee with just Paul turner mids and a K'N airfilter destroy one.
  9. Yeah, i hope theres not to much snow on the lake though, its not a clear drag strip or anything, theres going to be a fair bit of snow on it to , i should be able to take him i think plus i have brand new chain and sprockets to put on
  10. Okay so i know this person who just bought an Outlander 800R. He wants to race me on my banshee. My banshee has an K'N filter and some porting done to it. 23 inch tires and 14/42 gearing. It is neck and neck with my dads YZ250 off the line and takes him on top end easy. Im going to have studs in my tires and the outlander will have none, but will be racing in 4 wheel drive. Not really sure how far the race is going to be, but its on a lake maybe 500 feet. So do i have a pretty good change at winning or am i going to get owned?
  11. Hi everyone i'm pretty new to this forum. I own a 1990 Yamaha banshee. Its in pretty rough shape but runs great, and im thinking down the line of buying a pair of DMC alien pipes. My question is if i do buy these pipes what should i change my jetting to? I live in Hunstville,Ontario and my altitude is 951 Feet above sea level.Im also running without my airbox lid. Any help would be appreciated.
  12. Okay guys, i have a problem. I bought a 1989 Banshee recently and popped the seat off to check the airfiler. The airfilter is the original one from 1989 lol. Its split and junk but that can easily be replaced. The real problem is on the cage the foam gasket is disolved. Now i was wondering if i bought an aftermarket air filter kit would it come with a new cage? Or is there anyway i can find a stock replacment cage or possibly a gasket? Its really pissing me off because i just bought it, greased everything up and ride it once then check the airfilter and realize that its done.
  13. It just stock pipes. Its only bored out maybe 10CCs or something. Its got OEM yamaha cynlinders and i dont think the timing has been advanced. The port job was nothing big either, he did not widen them just raised them up a bit. Im thinking of getting some Toomy T5s for it.
  14. Hi guys, im new to the forums and have a few questions. This coming saturday im going to be picking up a 1989 Banshee. It has a new topend with under an hour on them, the prievous owner went down 1 tooth in the front gear but also has the stock gearing. It has intake and exhaust porting and its bored out a bit from when he rebuilt it. Anyways i was wondering what mods i should purchase first? Also is there going to be much of a powergain over stock because of the porting or is it insignificant? Thanks
