Im selling because I just got a great deal on a cheetah top end. The complete top end is in new condition, however it has seen 5 passes after break in. The cylinders were ported by a local builder and personal friend of mine, the porting looks amazing. Exhaust is at 198, 35 blowdown (using .012 gasket). Head clearance is low 40 to mid 40 thousanths (cant remember exactly). Can anyone here tell me from experience, what is .10 second worth in a drag race (how many bikes lengths)?

what ignition are you running on that bike? mines wont run unless its gapped to .018

been doing a lot of reading on alcohol lately and cant figure out why people are running colder plugs when they switch to alky. I understand we gap them smaller so that the added flow doesnt turn the spark off. But why do we get colder plugs if methanol itself is supposed to make the motor run cooler?

if your going to run front brakes, sandtoyz puts a nasty huge spacer/adapter there. Wicked has a smaller more hidden style spacer for front brakes.

Hi everyone, im trying to find a write up on whats needed to convert a motor to alky but cant find anything. I already have the carbs but I need to know what do I need to do to the engine. For example - I have 170psi right now, what psi should i be running? - where do i set my squish/clearance? - what type of timing do alky motors run? - do i still run b8es? do i gap it to a different number? Its a 421cc cub used for 1/4 mile asphalt dragging. Am i missing anything else?
